Making of a Legend Part III-The Career of Kirby Moore

Currently I have a some kind of Data Error attacked to my original profile Deuce2223.. It doesn't allow me to see posts I create or allow me to see comments left by forum members. I created a post by of my first Round Results from the playoffs and the only way I can see it is when I go into Post a comment it allows me to see my post and comments left by followers, but then it's stuck on Page 74 and says it has updated since Thursday? I left messages for the Steve OS as well as sent a Email to the help desk but have not heard back..

I created this new profile and until it get's fix I am going to share a different off-line Dynasty I have going.. I am not done with Coach Miller and the Buckeyes/FIU but would really like to be able to actually see the posts created and what not before proceeding..

With that said.. Just like with Coach Miller.. I simmed the 2024 season and got most of the correct teams into the playoffs, but in this world, Oregon wins the Natty and Ohio State got knocked out early.

I then decided to pick a 1 star team with and will start playing games in the 2025 season..

Just like I did with FIU, I will have similar recruiting rules. I will recruit any player in my state and will only recruit regionally players who start with my school in their Top-5. Once I win back to back Conference Titles or get the school to a full 3* prestige then I can branch out and recruit 4* players and players outside my region.. However 3* and 2* in the off-season who are unsigned are fair came once I get that far.

Also I picked a school that I believe has the ability to move around to a couple different conferences including a potential move to the SEC someday, so for now the plan with this one might be to stay at 1 school for his entire career, but we will see.. The only issue I do have is stadium size.. I have come to really enjoy my home games with Ohio State..

    ARKANSAS STATE HIRES KIRBY MOORE

The Arkansas State Red Wolves finished (7-5) in 2024 including a (5-3) record in Sun Belt play but a disappointing loss to Liberty in the New Orleans Bowl left the school at a crossroads with HC Butch Jones.. A (19-31) record in 4 years was not what the school was hoping for when they hired the former Tennessee Coach to replace Blake Anderson.

ASU has had a history of being the place coaches come to rebuild their careers or in some cases jump start it.. They saw it with Hugh Freeze, Gus Malzahn, Bryan Harsin all who lasted just 1 year with the Red Wolves..

However they hoping this time they have found a guy who wants to make Jonesboro his home for awhile as the school announces the hiring of Missouri Offensive Coordinator Kirby Moore.

Moore just 33 years old has already had a long and pretty stellar coaching career.

The younger brother to former Boise State QB and current New Orleans Saints HC Kellen Moore, Kirby like Kellen was a standout Washington State High School football player, recording 304 rec for 4909 yds and a state record 96 TD's.. Like his brother, Kirby headed to Boise State where he played WR playing in 45 games over his career Kirby recorded 115 receptions for 1137 yds and 6 TD's.

Kirby started his coaching career at the College of Idaho in 2014 helping restart the program located just 30 minutes from the Boise State campus.

However in 2015, Moore got a chance to join Coach Chris Peterson at Washington as a Grad Assistant, which is where his coaching career would begin to take off.. After 2 seasons with the Huskies, Moore took a job with Boise State's biggest rival joining Fresno State as a WR coach under Jeff Tedford. After 2 season Moore was promoted to Passing Game Coordinator on top of his WR coach duties under new HC Kalen Deboer.. Then in December of 2021 after Deboer left for Washington, Tedford returned and promoted Moore again this time to OC and QB Coach. But after the 2022 season.. Moore was hired by Missouri HC Eliah Drinkwitz who Moore knew form his days at Boise State.

Moore's first season with Missouri was considered a success, the school responded by giving Moore a 2 year extension and a raise to 1.5 million for the 2024 season..

Year 2 for Moore was even better then Year 1 as Missouri finished the year (Game stats not Real Life) 9-4 Overall and 5-3 in SEC play finished the year ranked #14.. The Tigers Offense finished the year with 3454 yds passing yards 1348 yds rushing and Averaged 33.2 PPG (3rd in the SEC LSU was 37.5, Tennessee was 33.8)

With the the Saints hiring his brother Kellen as their new HC, many though Kirby would make the jump to the NFL joining his brother in New Orleans. but Kirby had a different plan as he follows in the footsteps of former Boise State OC/HC Bryan Harsin and accepts a 3 year deal with the Red Wolves.

        2025 CONFERENCE REALIGNMENT

The 2024 season offered plenty of excitement and changes around the country as the Pac-12 saw a mass departure of teams leave with Oregon, USC, ULCA, Washington all join the Big Ten well Utah, Colorado, Arizona and Arizona State left for the Big 12.. Stanford and Cal were left wondering what to do so they bolted for the ACC but after a year of disappointing play and travel costs that just can't be sustained. The Bears and Cardinals are headed back to the Pac-12 where they will rejoin Oregon State and Washington State..

The Pac-12 did the only thing they could do and that was poach the some of the best teams from the Mountain West to fill up their conference..

So Boise State, San Diego State, Fresno State, Colorado State and Utah State all came giving the Pac-12 (9) teams.. Well it was enough to give the keep the conference alive, the Pac-12 wasn't done as they also nab 3 teams from Texas adding Texas State from the Sun Belt and UTSA and Rice from the American giving them 12 teams and 2 Divisions..

Several other schools followed suit with Cal and Stanford realizing that aligning themselves in Conference that better suited regional travel and rivalries would be the better fit long term.

SMU bolted back to the Big 12, well UCF and West Virginia joined the ACC..

The Big Ten finally got their wish as Notre Dame gives up the Indy status to join hoping for a better chance at making the playoffs and securing a Top-4 seed. The Big Ten didn't stop there though as they also land Pitt from the ACC growing their conference to 20 teams, now with 10 teams in each Division.

All eyes turned to the SEC. Many expected the Conference to make a run at Clemson and Florida State.. Other rumors also suggest North Carolina but for the 2025 season, the plan is to sit and wait and see how things pan out..

With the ACC losing 4 teams (Stanford,Cal,SMU, Pitt) and only adding 2 (UCF and WVU) the conference reached out and decided to add USF to get back to 16 teams..

Changes were not done though. As fallout continued in the American, MAC, CUSA and Sun Belt as the Mountain West looked to rebuild their 5 teams and get back to 12.

The Mountain West was able to retain UNLV and Air Force despite rumors both were headed to create a Pac-14 and to do that they needed to show the schools the conference would still be viable, as they add La Tech, New Mexico State, UTEP, North Texas and Sam Houston State giving the conference new Texas exposure..

          MOORE LANDS #66 OVERALL CLASS

With Coach Jones departure several players joined him hitting the transfer portal including 3 key players on the Red Wolves Offense last season.

          2024 Offense 4456 yds (2861 passing, 1415 yds rushing), 28.4 PPG.

JR RB Ja’Quez Cross 190 carries 1037 yds 2 TD (Ole Miss)
JR WR Corey Rucker 42 rec 702 yds 8 TD (Ole Miss)
JR WR Malik Hornsby 50 rec 589 yds 5 TD (SMU)

However Coach Moore was lucky enough to keep 2 year starter Jaylen Raynor who followed up a very success 2023 season throwing for 2861 yds with 30 TD and 6 INT well also adding 317 yds and 4 TD's on the ground. (Game stats no real life)..

However with Cross gone, that would make Raynor the team's returning rushing leader and with the departure of Cross and Hornsby, ASU would have a completely new WR room.

Moore acted quickly to replace Cross as he signs 6'2 215lb JR transfer Jay Harris (Oregon) who was buried on the Ducks depth chart getting just 3 carries for 6 yds and 3 TD in 2024 well also adding JR Cash Jones (Georgia) who never saw any live action for the Bulldogs.

Here is a look at some of the other key member of the 2024 Class that ranked #66 Overall and #1 in the Sun Belt.

          22 players (12-3*, 6-2*, 4-1*)

3* QB RS FR Kyle Lowe (Georgia State)
3* RB RS JR Jay Harris (Oregon) 3 carries 6 yds 3 TD
3* RB RS JR Cash Jones (Georgia)
3* MLB SO Eldrick Robinson II (Wake Forest)
3* CB TR JR Derrick Edwards (Chalotte)

3* QB Jamie Ferreira (#830 Overall)
3* QB Austin Ahlers (#653 Overall)
3* WR Tyrell Rhodes (#662 Overall)
3* TE Sean Pounds (#1531 Overall)
          3* C Zach Mumphrey (#1497 Overall)

            OFFENSIVE OUTLOOK

Coach Moore will lean heavily on QB Jaylen Raynor (82) but with a talented but very inexperienced WR room the question is who will be his #1WR.. Last year Raynor spread the ball around with the Top 3 Receivers all finished with 700+ yds.. The early favorite is RS FR Jayvion Showers (72)who is the fastest on the team but SR CJ Cage (70) "Best Hands" and RS SR Reginald Harden JR (6'5 196lbs) both expect to be targeted often as well.

            Moore
"Cage will play out of the slot.. Harden will be our redzone guy and Showers will be our big play guy.. We will run alot of 4 and 5 WR sets so the other guy's will get their chances too.. We also plan on using the TE alot so look for both Little and Rexroat to get some looks"
JR RB Cedric Hawkins (77) had 11 carries for 31 yds and 2 scores last year as Cross's backup.. At 5'7 190 lbs he is undersized to be a every down back but he has solid hands and should see some 3rd down looks, well Transfer Portal Adds Jay Harris (75) and Cash Jones (74) expect to battle it out for carries, with Harris expected to get most of the goal line looks with his size.

            Moore
"I think Jay Harris has the ability to be a big time player in our offense.. I think we could see him be a 20-25 carry type back pretty easy and we love Cash Jones speed (93) so we feel like the compliment each other well"

The 0-Line boasts 4 Senior starters all returning from last season. Only True Freshman Center Zach Mumphrey is the new addition, but Coach Moore will be busy looking for his future line this season.

ASU has 16 Seniors with with 7 of those coming from the 0-Line...

            DEFENSE OUTLOOK

Keeping JR CB's D. Joyner (82) and T. Bryant (80) from hitting the Portal was huge. The Defense will be somewhat young (only 2 Seniors starting) which means Coach Moore should retain key players for the next 2 years. But that also means ASU is replacing 9 starters from last year's squad... Joyner leads all returning players with 83 Career Tackles, 1 Sack and 2 INT's..

            RECRUITING

Arkansas State has only 73 scholarship athletes (16 SR's, 13 JR's, 15 SO's and 29 FR (Redshirted/True/Redshirting), giving Coach Moore 28 available scholarships plus some potential transfers ASU could add as many as 30 players to next year's roster..

            TEAM SCHEDULE

Arkansas State will has a pretty tough schedule to start Coach Moore's career..

Moore will kickoff the season in Week 1 facing his former team in #15 Missouri on the road.

The Red Wolves will then take on instate rival Arkansas in Week 2 before having their first "Bye" Week of the season in Week 3. ASU then returns home to host former Sun Belt member Texas State in Week 4 before hitting the road yet again to take on the Memphis Tigers in another regional rivalry matchup in Week 5.. ASU will then have a Week 6 "Bye" before starting Sun Belt Play..

Here is a look at the full schedule

            Week 1 @ #15 Missouri
Week 2 @ Arkansas (Rivalry Matchup)
            Week 3 "Bye"
            Week 4 vs Texas State
Week 5 @ Memphis (Rivalry Matchup/Paint Bucket Bowl)
            Week 6 "Bye"
            Week 7 @ South Alabama
            Week 8 @ Louisiana
            Week 9 @ Georgia State
            Week 10 vs UL Monroe
            Week 11 vs Troy
            Week 12 @ Jacksonville State
Week 13 vs Georgia Southern (Senior Night)

            Coach Moore
"Starting the Year with 2 road games against SEC opponent is tough but then you add in the fact we are also playing Memphis on the road as well as our first 3 Sun Belt games, means we could get off to a slow start. I personally still think 7-8 wins is in the mix and it's my goal to get this team back to challenging for Sun Belt titles and winning Bowl games"
            TITLES/BOWLS

Arkansas State won 3 straight Sun Belt Titles in 2011,2012, and 2013, finishing 11/12 both with a 10-3 record.

After a down year in 2014 (7-6 Overall) ASU came back and won 2 more Sun Belt Titles in 15/16 but have now gone 8 straight year without one..

ASU also hasn't won a Bowl game since 2019...

I saw this and thought maybe you got fed up with the posing issues and nuked Coach Miller...glad to see that's not entirely the case lol

Arkansas State has some nice unis and as you mentioned geographically can be moved to a lot of different places. Start at SBC -> C-USA -> Big 12 -> SEC????

No I want to continue Miller's story but not sure what's going on with my profile. I have been a member since 2008 when I started posting my College Hoops Dynasty.. I would love to figure out what's going on with the Data Base Error. It's frustrating.... I have the both games 2nd Round games played and was going to play the Semi Final games today, decided to play with the Red Wolves instead.. I am actually only 3 games in but I like the school alot.

They do have some great uniform options, I actually really like the Stadium despite that it only holds like 31k, it has some nice things. The Fan's dress in alternating Red/Black.. And I really like the waterfalls at near the endzone.. It feels bigger then it is..

Also recruiting won't be as easy as it was in Florida with FIU, Texas with TTU or even Boise State.. But I have regional access still to Texas, Louisiana, Florida, Georgia, Missouri.. I actually had a ton of guy's with us in their Top-5 I had a hard time picking 35 players.

My current roster has 16 Seniors but I only have 73 scholarships used, so I can sign a pretty big class this first year.. I landed 2 solid RB's in the transfer portal and I have Raynor who is only a Junior, so I got 2 seasons to find my next starting QB and RB. I landed a pretty decent haul at WR and they already had alot of FR WR's so I should be able to work on building up the 0-Line and Defense in Year 1...

I do like the fact I feel like the MWC would work with the Texas schools being there.. I also like the idea of the American. I havn't really played alot of games against either of those schools, because when I was at Boise State we left for the Pac-12 in my dynasty. but at the same time I havn't really played against the Sun Belt teams in this game.. In NCAA14 I ran a pretty long Dynasty with Georgia State. Starting out in the Sun Belt before moving to CUSA before moving to the SEC.. I had quite the rivalry with Georgia Tech..

I am looking forward to building up the rivalry here with the Razorbacks..

Damn, hopefully Coach Miller can resurrect his career. Arkansas State does have sweet unis and like having them in the Sun Belt but feel like the American would come calling at some point in this universe

There is something totally jacked with my profile and with that thread.. If all else fails I will just create another thread and basically copy over some of the material..

But that's for checking on the Wolves.. I am really liking it so far.. I am 4 games in and Jay Harris the RB transfer from Oregon is a beast.. Reminds me a little of Tavon Logan I had at FIU just not as fast but he likes to run over and through the first tackle... I think the plan is for now to probably play at least 2 or 3 seasons in the Sun Belt before deciding where they should go.. Similar to what I did with FIU.. If I can win 10 games and get ranked there is no reason why they can't make the playoffs out of the Sun Belt. I do think though with future Conference changes I would like to move them to some tougher competition at some point. Right now they are a 79 Overall 80 Offense/79 Defense, which puts them tied with Louisiana and South Alabama as the highest rated team in the Sun Belt.

                      RED WOLVES SHOCK #15 MISSOURI

The Kirby Moore era kicked off with a bang as Arkansas State defeats #15 Missouri (42-24) in their 2025 Week 1 Season Opener..

When Moore left Missouri he asked 1 his former employer for potential matchup and Missouri agreed to hosting the Red Wolves in Week 1 but now after the upset win, we will see how soon the Tigers agree to a rematch and if they would ever consider coming to Jonesboro..

The Red Wolves dominated the 1st half on both sides of the ball jumping out to a commanding (28-0) lead as RB Jay Harris leads the charge rushing for over 100 yds and scoring twice..

QB Jaylen Raynor also had a solid 1st half throwing 2 touchdowns including a 45 yd bomb to RS FR Javion Showers and another nice 23 yd strike to SO Hunter Summers.

Arkansas State opened up the 2nd half with the ball and Harris started where he left off scoring 2 more touchdowns to extend ASU's lead to (42-3) going into the 4th.

The Tigers would rally in the 4th Quarter scoring 3 times as JR QB Sam Horn (78) throws a pair of touchdowns and runs for another but it was to little to late..

Harris was named POG finishing with 23 carries for 178 yds and the 4 TD's.

Raynor finished the game 22/33 (66%) for 292 yds with the 2 scores.

Showers led all receivers with 6 rec for 107 yds and the touchdown..

HOGS SHOW WHY THEY ARE TOP DOG!!

Until 2025, Arkansas and Arkansas State had never met on the Football field despite both Universities being located in the same state. Some say it's because Arkansas is unable to fit the Red Wolves into the non-conference lineup, well others say the Hog's didn't want to risk potentially losing and having the reputation among Arkansas High School Football players tarnished.

Well today they proved they are Top Dog or Top Hog, as the Razorbacks defeat the Red Wolves (37-14).

ASU would struggle in the 1st half as QB Jaylen Raynor throws 2 INT's and RB Jay Harris is held to just 20 yds on 8 carries..

Trailing (20-0), Raynor would rally his team with a late touchdown to to SR CJ Cage with 20 seconds to play in the half to make it (20-7) as both teams head to the locker room.

Raynor's struggles continued in the 2nd half as the Razorbacks continued to shut down any type of offense, as they pick off the JR QB for a 3rd time helping them take a (30-7) lead into the 4th..

A early Razorback touchdown extended their lead to (37-7) with under 5 minutes to play.

Knowing the win as out of question, Coach Moore used the final 5 minutes as a opportunity to see his 2nd string and Georgia State transfer Kyle Lowe didn't look all that bad..

Lowe would complete 6/10 pass's on his opening series including a 12 yd pass to RS FR AJ Wallace for a touchdown to make it (37-14). ASU got the ball back 1 more time but Lowe would then throw 4 straight incompletes (2 drops) as ASU turns the ball over on downs.

Lowe finished 6/14 (42%) for 83 yds and the score.
Raynor finished 10/29 (34%) for 148 yds with the 1 TD and 3 INT. He also added 4 carries for 27 yds

Harris finished with 15 carries for 34 yds
Cash Jones finished with 8 yds on 4 carries (2.0 avg).

CJ Cage led the receivers with 5 rec for 60 yds and the 1 TD.

Former Boise State QB Taylen Green finished 19/23 (82%) for 283 yds with 2 TD's and added 43 yds on 8 carries (5.4 avg). He was named POG.

JR RB Rodney Hill had 17 carries for 71 yds and 2 TD
JR WR I. Sategna had 7 rec for 156 yds and 1 TD

RED WOLVES RUN WILD ON BOBCATS!!

Arkansas State ran for a season high and a school record 398 yds including 20 carries 188 yds and 4 TD's from Oregon transfer Jay Harris.. The JR form St Louis Missouri is thriving in Moore's offensive system, but he wasn't the only RB to have a big day.. As fellow JR's Courtney Hawkins (7 carries 94 yds) and Cash Jones (12 carries 77 yds) also had big day's as the Red Wolves roll the Bobcats (51-32)

With the ground game rolling, QB Jaylen Raynor had a nice bounce back game throwing for 236 yds with 3 TD's well also running 3 times for 37 yds.

SR WR CJ Cage despite playing out of the slot seems to have settled in as the Raynor's #1 option has he finishes the game with a team high 7 rec 82 yds and 2 TD..

(2-1) Arkansas State will close out their Non-Conference schedule with a trip to (3-2) Memphis for the Paint Bucket Bowl.

                            RED WOLVES PAINT THE TOWN

Coach Moore makes a statement as Arkansas State win's the Paint Bucket Bowl over Memphis. (24-10)

The name of the rivalry was created when officials from the two schools decided to create a trophy for the winner of the game out of some buckets of paint and some paint brushes. The losing school also designed a particular area on its campus that the winner could smear with paint, in an attempt to eliminate the defacing of each campus and the "kidnapping" of opposing football players during game week. The tradition evolved into the winning school being given a trophy from the other—a paint bucket decorated in the colors of the two schools and inscribed with the game score.[2][3] The two teams have met 62 times on the football field, with Memphis currently holding a 33–23–5 edge in the all-time series. The last meeting between the schools was in 2023.

Despite the low score, Arkansas State and Memphis combined for almost 800 yds of Total Offense.. ASU would lead (14-7) at the half getting a touchdown pass from Jaylen Raynor and a rushing score from Jay Harris..

Harris once again hits the century mark with his 3rd 100+ game on the season as he finishes the game with 25 carries for 101 yds but it was Georgia transfer Cash Jones who would come up big with 6 carries for 43 yds and a 1 17 yd TD in the 4th Quarter to put this one away..

Arkansas State also got some help from the Defense was JR SS Websley Etienne comes up with 2 INT's off Memphis QB SO Harris Boyd..

Boyd finished the day 20/39 (51%) for 318 yds with the 1 TD and 2 INT

ASU's Jaylen Raynor was solid completing 21/33 (63%) for 291 yds with the 1 TD as he spread the ball around to his Top-3 targets

                            RS FR J. Showers-4 rec 82 yds
                            SR R. Hardin- 6 rec 77 yds
                            SR C. Cage- 5 rec 55 yds

The Red Wolves move to (3-1) with the win completing their non-conference schedule. They will have another "Bye" Week in Week 6 before starting Sun Belt play with a 3 game road trip starting with (4-2) South Alabama.

Good Evening and Welcome to Howl Raiser, were we talk Red Wolves Football....Howl Raiser is a ASU Podcast part of the FunBelt network.. Today's guest is none other then 1st year HC Kirby Moore..

KM- Thanks for having me guy's..

Host-Kirby.. Let me be the first to congratulated.. It's exciting.. Obviously everyone in the country knows your brother Kellen but I think there are alot of people out there that didn't realize wasn't the only football player/coach in the Moore family.

KM-Well actually there is 3 of us. Our Dad is a coach as well...

Host-Kirby you have worked under some amazing coaches in Chris Peterson, Jeff Tedford both are considered probably Hall of Fame coaches and you have risen through the ranks pretty quick to be a HC at just 34 yrs old. In fact until FAU recently hired Zach Kittley (33 yrs old) I think you were the youngest..

KM-Yeah I am not sure.. I know Coach Dillingham at Arizona State is 34 as well and so is Scotty Walden at UTEP and Spencer Danielson at Boise State is just 35..

Host-Speaking of Boise State.. You both played there and coached there.. Would you say they are a team you hope to return to some day as the man in charge

KM-I think there are alot of Boise State fan's that would love to see a Moore on the sideline but I am pretty sure if you ask 99% of them they would say it would be my brother..

Host-Speaking of your brother. Alot of people speculated that they thought you would join him with the Saints. Do you see that in your future working together at the NFL level.

KM-Maybe.. I don't know.. I honestly really enjoy the college level. I know that the NIL has changed alot these past couple years but come game time money doesn't matter. It's all about X's and O's..

Host-Speaking of X's and O's. We are told you are very much like your brother and spend alot of time working on the playbook and breaking down film (Tactician/Strategist) Would you say that's your strength as a coach vs a Recruiter/Motivator type?

KM-For sure.. I mean I think the perfect HC is probably a balance of all 4..But at the end of the day, that's why it's important to build a staff that can help do the things that are not your strengths.. Obviously my background as a WR and OC helps me relate and talk Offense but I am still learning how how to best use my guy's on Defense..

Host- Coach you come from a Boise State Offense background (Multiple) and last season ran alot of plays at Missouri out of the Pistol, well ASU ran a Spread. So far we have noticed that you guy's are running the ball alot..Despite having a 2 year starter like Jaylen Raynor at QB..

KM-I feel like my Offensive style is always changing but the core is built to be very similar to Coach Pete.. I believe in utilizing the run and control the TOP.. If teams are not stopping the run then why switch away from it.. I also believe in smart efficient plays vs explosive plays.. Yeah we are going to take shots down field, but at the end of the day, I would love to see my QB with a completion rate in the 70% range over a guy who had 10 plays of 70+ yds.

Host-Coach you landed 2 very capable RB's in the transfer portal in Jay Harris and Cash Jones.. They seem to compliment each other well and both players despite being Juniors havn't seen much field time until now.

KM- I mean yes and no.. Jay was actually a kid who I talked to quite a bit. He originally started out at Northwest Missouri and put up some huge #'s which got him noticed by both us and alot of teams. Like alot of kids he was swayed to Eugene by Nike money and a chance to win a Natty.. He did that but as the #4 RB on the depth chart he knew he wasn't ever going to be the #1.. That's what we offered him a chance to be.. I knew he was a the type of player who could easily get us 2-3 wins just by adding him to our roster so instead of being a 6-7 win team now we are capable of winning 8-10.. Cash was a little different, He was recruited pretty heavily out of high school by smaller programs like FIU, FAU, Army and New Mexico State. He signed with the Aggies but then flipped to Georgia were he played mainly special teams but saw some touches.. But again when we talked Playing time was big to him so far the split has been Harris (83) Jones (27).. I think over the next 8 games we probably want to see that balance out a little more.. Honestly at the end of the year.. I would be pretty happy to see 2-1000 yd rushers on this team.

Host-Well Harris is already half way there with 501 yds and 9 TD's through 4 games. Speaking of that.. You guy's got South Alabama this week.. They got a pretty good RB in Braylon McReynolds (91 carries 508 yds 9 TD).. Is stopping him the key to getting the "W".

KM- Braylon is a great RB but he isn't their entire offense.. SO QB Gio Lopez (1435 yds 10 TD 4 INT, 80 carries 310 yds 6 TD) is one of the best dual threat QB's not just in the Sun Belt but in the nation and hey got 3 solid WR's who he spreads the ball around too. If we focus on 1 guy we will get burned.

Host-Speaking of QB's and WR's.. Jaylen Raynor is playing pretty good.. If you take away the 3 INT's in the loss to Alabama, he is averaging almost 250 yds per game and has 7 TD's.. But like you mentioned earlier your biggest play this season has been 45 yds.. Both Jayvion Summer (14 241 17.2 avg) and Hunter Summers (10 179 yds 17.9 avg) seem like they have some big play potential and SR's C. Cage (22 264 3 TD) and R. Harden Jr (15 196) gives you 4 WR's with over 10 catches. Is that hope to keep things balanced?

KM-For sure. I think when you start focusing on 1 guy especially near the endzone that's when mistakes happen.. I tell Jaylen all the time.. Don't look at the Jersey # on the Uniform.. Just look for the guy who is wide open.. At the end of the day every guy will get his looks and touches, but we don't have a true #1/#2.. I think we have 1A, 1B, 1C, 1D.

Host-Coach we are 6 weeks into the season and so far it appears you only have 1 player committed (3* CB Quincy Woodhead-#1017 Overall/#81 CB).. What size of class are you hoping to land this year and how hard will you attack the portal again?

KM-You know despite the fact we have only signed 1 player, we have also only lost 2 players off our Top-35 board. Right now we have 25 players who currently have told me we are #1 when it comes to their Top-3 or Top-5.. We also are excited because we are currently #2 behind Arkansas for 4* DT Devon Jones (#91 Overall/#2 AR/#8 DT) and after having him visit the past week during the "Bye" we are closing in on being #1..

Host-Well Coach we are out of time. But we just want to say again how excited we are to have you here and look forward to chatting with you again.

KM-Anytime guy's.. I am loving Jonesboro and have quickly fallen in love with Centennial Bank Stadium and with the fan's.. It almost gives me a Boise State type feel minus the Blue turf...
