Re: BAP: Eric McKee

So tomorrows my big day, I'll drive to the airport, and land in Lowell, find my new apartment and meet up with the team at the Tsongas Arena, even though training camp doesnt start for about a month I still wanted to meet my teamates and the staff.

I had to admit, I was a little nervous driving to the airport (it's hard to drive with shacky hands). I havent been in a plane since we flew threw a massive thunder storm on our way to Florida 10 years ago when in was only 8 years old, I'll never forget that expierence.
I was finally walking onto the plane a bit more calm now, awaiting instructions from the crew for take-off.
It was only a twelve hour drive from Windsor to Lowell but I figured with the price of gas and I would probably want to stay the night somewere, because after about 7 hours of driving I tense up and always have to stop for the night I figured a plane ride would be cheaper.
3-half hours of trying to open peanut bags without ripping it and having peaunts hitting the person next to me and spilling juice on myself from turbulence. I was relieved to hear the Captain say "Please fasten your seatbelts as we prepare for landing".
But then from the back I heard a lady scream like it was the end of the world I gulped... I really hoped it wasnt a problem with the plane, maybe she saw a spider?Last edited by emckee04; 04-25-2009, 02:42 PM. -

Re: BAP: Eric McKee
Oh man, that scared me good.
Some 80 year old lady saw the flaps on the planes wing going down and thought that the entire wing was bending. How stupid can some people get.
So I moved into my brand new beautiful apartment that i was renting in Lowell. I wanted to get a condo but the Devils werent a 100% sure i was goin to be playing there. That gave me hope, the wanted too see what i could do and by god I was goin to show them.
So today was a pretty good day. I went out bought some furniture, TV's, couches, a bed, a computer all that good stuff.I even bought a car it was a 09 Ford Fusion brand new. I was also romeing around town and saw that a local Lowell AAA Midget hockey team was having try-outs, so I saw down for a little while and watched for a bunch of 14 year olds they were pretty good. There must have been almost 40 people. Lowell Wildcats was what I read on there jerseys. Catchy, I liked it.
But then my phone was ringing.
"Hello?"
"Eric its Kurt Kleindorst.... Head coach of the Lowell Devils. Listen, I just got off the phone with the Lou (GM) they said they want you too head up there next weak to participate in the traning camp. Thell pay for all your expenses like your hotel room, meals, gas, and so on. Thell have your equipment waiting for you at the arena" "That's fantastic, I'll head up there tomorrow" " Okay Kid best of luck. Cheers." "Thanks coach. See ya."
I knew they had an intrest in me, I just knew it, I cant wait till tomorrow. Spring training will be great.Comment
