Re: Return of The Russian Rocket...But To WHO???
Hey guys...
Just loggin' in to say, 'hi'. Philly is an awesome city. We have spent most of out time in a suburb called Warrington, but man is it beautiful here in the state of Pennsylvania. The trees are beautiful and the terrain is just so rich. The people here are more courteous than I am used to in a large city and I can totally see me moving my family here within the next few years.
Well, it'll be about 6 more days till I'm back home and I must say, I really miss playing the hockeyz and writing about. Oh well, I'll just appreciate it that much more when I get back.

A New Era Has Begun; Lemieux Takes Reigns After Bylsma Firing
There was a day when the Pittsburgh Penguins had the most feared offense in the NHL. Fans would pack buildings in visiting arenas to see the amazing display of talent that the Penguins would tour around the country campaign after campaign. You would have to turn in your NHL fan ID card if you didn't know the captain of that ship was no other than Le Magnifique, Mario Lemieux.
After investing both his life and money into the franchise he carried for years, the Pittsburgh Penguins will now be coached and led by Mario himself as the franchise feels that it has what it takes to make a run at the Stanley Cup, once again becoming a renouned franchise in the world of hockey and professional sports.
"We have a great group of young guys here, and we are looking to improve upon that. I feel I've been around long enough and have easily accomplished enough to garner the respect and attention of these guys", stated Mario in a news conference at Mellon after a 5-0 defeat to the Flyers.
Who could argue that? In 915 games, Super Mario scored 690 goals and added 1033 assists for 1723 points, winning 17 awards and 2 Stanley Cups.
"We are thrilled to have Mario leading us on the ice. It is obviously a great honor to play under arguably the greatest player who ever laced up their skates", remarked Captain Sidney Crosby.
The firing of Dan Bylsma, comes on the heels of a stretch in which the Pens have lost 11 of their last 18 games.Last edited by onlybygrace; 06-01-2009, 01:43 PM.Comment
