REFUSING TO LEAVE
THE STORY OF THE PHOENIX COYOTES

COYOTES STAYING IN PHOENIX, BOUGHT BY MICROSOFT BILLIONAIRE BILL GATES

The Phoenix Coyotes are staying right where they are, as billionaire Bill Gates beat out Blackberry billionaire Jim Balsillie, who was attempting to relocate the bankrupt franchise. Gates purchased the team for an estimated total of over $284 million dollars. Gates, apparently a huge hockey fanatic, was ecstatic about saving the Coyotes. "I didn't want to see the Coyotes leave Phoenix. At the moment, they may not have many fans, but it would've been unfair to the diehard fans if the Coyotes left." Gates also named former NHL defenseman Viktor Konstantinov(Sabres, Islanders, Kings, Wild) the new General Manager of the Coyotes. Wayne Gretzky will remain the coach of the 'Yotes. "I believe that Konstantinov, and Wayne Gretzky are the perfect guys for their jobs. Konstantinov, with his hockey smarts will make the trades necessary to make the Coyotes a winning franchise, and Gretzky will get the most out of our players. We may not make the playoffs just yet, but in a few years, look out for the Coyotes. We have a young forward corps, with so much potential, it's ridiculous." The Coyotes look to return to the playoffs, and now that they are financially
secure for foreseeable future, expect changes in the Coyotes roster.
