Re: Wake Up The Sleeping Giant (A Leafs BAGM)

I don't have to have an "official" postioin on the team takeshi but I will throw in my two cents like I do on all the other franchises if you want feedback. So just to throw two things out there...

    - I think the "Monster" Jonas Gustavsson shoud have a fair shot at the number one goaltending postion if he doesn't have it locked down already.

    - I would take a good long look at center Nazem Kadri during training camp. That kid has some exceptional speed and is a really good puck handler. Not sure if he's ready yet but needs to be considered for sure!

Looking forward to this...will be following!

If you don't had, you have know. What about Director of Hockey Operations? Thanks for the feedback and for open up the discussion.

The golies is one of the problems that we need to solve. We can make Gustavsson number one, and move Giguere to gain cap room. Or we can stay with Giguere, give them both a shot for number one...

You're right. Kadri is a good prospect. In fact we have a lot of young value. Bozak, Caputi, Kulemin, Stalberg, Schenn, Gunnarsson. The challenge will be put them to produce.

      Keep throwing your cents!
I will post the roster and some topics to discussion later.

Well takeshi if you want me to have a big fancy title then I will do my best to fill that role

I forgot about all the trade deadline moves. You obviously are using updated rosters. I haven't updated my rosters in months because I'm only playing my one franchise. Giguere is a very good goalie...hmmm...but his cap hit is big...I see your point. That's a tough one. I wouldn't mind keeping him if we could afford him. That would be quite the duo between the pipes!

I totally forgot about Stalberg!!! He's a good one too! I thought about trading for him in my Caps franchise. We do have some young talent which is really awesome. I don't know much about this defensemen Gunnarsson but I like his name. Reminds me of the Might Ducks movies...LOL!

That take all the fun from the game. In fact I think we should have the option to hide OVR. IRL players don't have numbers to tell us how good they are, only stats.

And thats not always true. If you want a player for specific role, you look at the attributes that you think important, not the overall. For example, Colton Orr only has 74 ovr, but is has 90 agressiveness, 88 checking, 88 toughness, that are key attributes for a checking player.

I take that into account, too.

And I personally don't think that it takes the fun out of the game. It just makes it easier to do lines. Sometimes I take into account if they're doing well or not.

That Nazem Kadri looks like a diamond in the rough.

I'll be the crazy leafs fan with season tickets and my face painted Blue at every home game.

Actually... I don't love this game. I got it for better BAP and new things, but it disapointed me. If I play an NHL game it's 09.

Sorry for swearing guys. You should see my rep on other forums... wow.

No need to apologize. I mistook you as someone hating on us franchisers. I screwed up and became defensive...my bad.

You honestly prefer 09 over 10? I respect your opinion. But I'd like to give you two tips and you should seriously give NHL10 a second chance. First, use onlybygrace's(***points to the poster with the St. Louis Blue's icon in this thread***) sliders, tweak them if you must but they are amazing! Second, play position lock, it's just like BAP but it's way more fun and not as cheesy. This game is really amazing and I think you're really missing out. I've had a lot of variation in games and it's been the most enjoyable hockey experience I've ever had in a video game. I think most the guys on this forum would tell you the same things I just have. I think it's a lot better than 09 but that's just my opinion.

Sorry for using and abusing your franchise takeshi. Can't wait for an update!
