      2. (4:01) Warren Rychel (Dave Hannan, Mike Ricci)

      3. (7:25 2nd) Mike Keane (Mike Ricci, Jon Klemm)

Great idea for this series. Loved Vanbiesbrouck, hope he can clinch the cup.

              Game 6: Colorado 5, Florida 1

The only big gun stepping up for Colorado has been Patrick Roy, but what he's provided has been plenty. Roy's 31 saves backstopped Colorado to a third win, tying the series at 3 with Game 7 in Colorado the last hurdle to climb.

              Goal Summary:

              1. (7:20 2nd) Chris Simon (Mike Ricci, Uwe Krupp)

              2. (11:25) Ed Jovanovski (Unassisted)

              3. (15:35) Stephan Yelle (Chris Simon, Adam Foote)

              4. (19:17) Sandis Ozolinsh (Stephan Yelle, Mike Ricci)

              5. (19:02 3rd) Rene Corbet (Unassisted)

              6. (19:58) Stephan Yelle (Claude Lemieux)

Re: Two Wrongs... Or a Right?

                FORSBEEEEEEEEEERG!

Another commentator's call that will live in infamy.

                Goal Summary:

                1. 6:43 1st Troy Murray (Sylvain Lefebvre)

                2. 9:39 Rene Corbet (Claude Lemieux)

The first period was all Avalanche, as they outshot the Panthers 14-7. Murray's goal squirted past John Vanbiesbrouck and Corbet's found its way through traffic and into the back of the net.

                3. 7:17 2nd Claude Lemieux SHG (Adam Foote)

                4. 7:39 Stu Barnes PPG (Scott Mellanby, Johan Garpenlov)

The second period nearly saw the dagger. Lemieux's shorthanded goal on a key Florida powerplay almost killed the Panthers, but Stu Barnes responded with a huge goal on the powerplay to keep the game relatively close.

                5. 3:17 3rd Tom Fitzgerald (Rob Niedermayer, Terry Carkner)

                6. 7:48 Rob Niedermayer (Tom Fitzgerald, Paul Laus)

Fitzgerald scored a key goal early on to cut the lead to one, and on his next shift found a streaking Niedermayer for a huge game-tying goal.

                7. 19:45 3rd Peter Forsbeeeeeeerg! (Unassisted)

Forsberg stole the puck in the defensive zone and buried a low slapper, a softie, leading to the now-infamous FORSBEEEEEEERG! call.

                Quote of the series:
"We couldn't finish. That was the story of the whole series."
—Panthers regular-season points leader Scott Mellanby, who scored 1 goal and 1 assist in the seven game series.
