Great work with this. Lam has truly captured my imagination, I had so much fun reading from the beginning. Looking forward to see how he finishes the season, and what other teams show interest in him.

By the way, this has inspired me to delve into this game mode more. Traditionally, I am more of a Master League/League guy, but this seems to be one of the better modes that has come along in a while.

Thanks. It has been a great ride. Still going too.

I would say this mode got me away from ML because it's just something that is very addicting. The game is deeper than ML because of the transfer system and the way the actual gameplay makes you feel like you are really.

My suggestion, even though it will be very hard to do at first, play the BAL on 'player' camera. That is what I use, it's basically a 3rd person view - very tough to play, but once you get the hang of it; so rewarding.

          Next Match

          vs

          (19-2-12, 59pts-3rd )

          Liverpool
(4-4-2): Reina, Agger, Hyypia, Degen, Castro, Gerrard, Van Der Vaart, Benayoun, Modric, Torres, Kuyt

Reaction: Grrrr, Torres & Kuyt have always given Fulham trouble - they are known for making every single opportunity count. Look for some blasts outside the box and a quick scramble for its deflection - whether it hits the keeper or the defender, the Reds do not let chances go to waste.

Fulham (4-4-2): Riou, Hughes, Hangeland, Volz, Painstil, Steve Davis, Teymourian, Lazaros, Giovinco, Agbonlahor, Eddie Johnson

Reaction: Hodgson continues to alter his starting lineup this season, nothing has seemed to work consistent enough for the boss just yet. With 5 matches remaining, the Cottagers will try their best to sustain a Liverpool attack. It could very well be a siege depending on whether or not the midfield of Lazaros and Teymourian become a guidance...or hinderance.

            Standings: Fulham (13-7-14, 46pts -- 13th)

            ---------------------------------------------------
Pathetic. Fulham didn't even put up a fight. Not even a tiny bit. This was a terrible showing - it was a terrible lineup to begin with, and worst of all (personally) was that Matteo didn't get a chance to play. Maybe ol' Roy thought the damage was already done no use in risking injuries...I don't know - all I know is that this game was terrible. I'm not looking forward to the next match either against Man United.

            (22-4-8, 70pts-1st )

            Manchester United
(4-4-2): Gomes, Vidic, Ferdinand, Danny Simpson, Evra, Leclerc, Anderson, Park Ji Sung, Nani, Danny Welbeck, Gervinho

Reaction: Gah, this team again. Looks like they put in part of their second team though.

Fulham (4-4-2): Petric, Stefanovic, Leijer, Baird, Painstil, Teymourian, Bullard, Simon Davies, Lazaros, Agbonlahor, Healy

Reaction: Healy over Matteo? Hm, questionable decision there. And Petric over Riou? I can understand that I suppose. Ol' Roy just doesn't seem too interested in sticking to something that works.

Losing Streak. Granted the big three will give any team a losing streak - but other than the Liverpool match, the Cottagers have had a chance to beat Man United and Chelsea; but have ended up choking every single time. The match was a good, free-flowing one, but in typical Fulham fashion - they lost their focus and let Gervinho somehow get the ball on the flank...and score. Teymourian's missed pk? Gah, don't remind me. Matteo was tripped hard in the box by Simpson, then Mr. T had his chance to be the hero...and failed.

Luck. Matteo's shot in the 80th minute kareemed off of David James' fingers and Kamara was there to clean up the mess in the air - a much needed victory, but honestly it doesn't matter anymore at this point.

Fulham (4-4-2): Petric, Leijer, Hughes, Baird, Konchesky, Steve Davis, Cook, Lazaros, Giovinco, Agbonlahor, Eddie Johnson

Ending on a good note. The season concludes next week against Everton, the much needed momentum boost came in the form of Lam Matteo and then Gabriel Agbonlahor.

Nice to see Lam finishing up the season on a strong note. Very interested to see what happens once the negotiating begins. My gut tells me that Lam will flee this train wreck of a team.

                        Final Match

                        vs

                        (14-6-17, 48pts-15th )

                        Everton
(4-4-1-1): Howard, Lescott, Yobo, Hibbert, Ashley Cole, Aaltonen, Cahill, Valbuena, Pienaar, Arshavin, Yakubu

Reaction: Battle of the lower part of the table. Everton have a solid keeper in Tim Howard, and a consistent striker in Yakubu. Arshavin and Cahill pose threats through the center while Cole and Lescott will join up in attack.

Fulham (4-4-2): Riou, Stefanovic, Hangeland, hughes, Kallio, Steve Davis, Andreasen, Kamara, Giovinco, Healy, Lam Matteo

Reaction: With some salvaging of points last week, Fulham are looking to finish the season on a high. Striker Lam Matteo starts up with David Healy, as Matteo has been playing superbly since coming back from injury. The midfield will be dictated by the elusive Kamara and playmaker Giovinco on the left side.

Another year with the Cottagers, will Matteo make a difference?

                                "I'm staying"

Lam Matteo accepts renewal contract from Fulham

It was probably one of the easiest decisions he has ever had to make in the offseason. American striker, Lam Matteo, has accepted a 1-year contract that will allow him to remain with Fulham.

"There was no hesitation on my part," reflects Matteo, "I have wanted to play for Fulham since I started playing this game. I think the club is going in a good direction. It's just a matter of making smarter decisions more consistently."

Matteo, who is almost 22, recorded 12 goals in 25 matches played; including one assist and 4 Man of the Match awards. The 2012 season was one that Matteo also grew as a player, when he had to battle through injury twice - to eventually make it back to Roy Hodgson's first team.

Before signing on the dotted line for Fulham, Matteo was approached by two Premiership sides in Middlesbrough (offering 1150 P) and Stoke City (offering 1170 P). But it was Fulham who stood out, offering 1250 P - and the American refused to hear any more offers - thus committing for another year.

"If they offered a longer contract for less money - I don't think I would have refused to be perfectly honest."

We will see if the increase in salary will improve the striker's form this coming year. In addition to the new contract, Matteo has also been offered a new kit number - from #28 to #8 (previously worn by now retired player, Smertin).

"I think the kit number signifies resepect - and I believe that is what I've received in full from Fulham FC."
