Can you post Matteo's ratings if you have a chance? I think we're all curious.

Re: Something in the Making: Lam Matteo (PES 2009)
Wow great job Matt good to see Lam get this far. I saw how your transfer window turned out and I'm surprised you didn't get too many offers. How are your attributes look, are you concentrating on speed, dribbling, technique? I know that ratings have a big deal on what teams want you and also attributes so get those up and you should see some more teams coming for you next time. I have noticed tracking back to defend, and completing good passes improve your rating and of course scoring goals.
But im sure you know this season will be tough for you with more games to play, it took a hamper on my BAL player I know for sure. You won't have to worry about International play (Unfortunatley) because the Euros will be played in the summer, than the following year will be Gold Cup. But I wish you luck, glad you stayed with Fulham.
Lots of matches, I don't think Hodgy is going to sub Matteo either, sooo - we're in for a tough, tough stint.
I'll post the ratings tonight when I get home.Comment

Dribble Acc -- 69
Dribble Spd -- 84
Short pass acc -- 70
Short pass spd -- 70

So there you go. I was essentially right before...Matteo is technically a slightly more gifted Marian Pahars, not Michael Owen (yet).Comment

Re: Something in the Making: Lam Matteo (PES 2009)
Some of those "low" ratings explain why the top clubs didn't bid for you. You probably have to have more numbers in the 80s. Of course, I don't have the game so I am just guessing.Comment

Re: Something in the Making: Lam Matteo (PES 2009)
Start training Lam on technique only (both kicking and dribbling). Those two train the most stats. You'll see your ratings going up fast. Oh, and don't bother trying to train your defense. You're a forward, why defend?
I'm in season 9 now, and I've trained kicking and dribbling for 8 of them. I might change it finally though, halfway this season.
And btw, nice start of the season.Comment

Re: Something in the Making: Lam Matteo (PES 2009)
Thanks Izu - will do, I keep forgetting I change those now, it's not like my already achieved stats will go away, Lol.
Hoping to get a match in later today - Newcastle have been claiming they can keep Matteo scoreless!
Haha.Comment

Re: Something in the Making: Lam Matteo (PES 2009)
This is based on my past experiences with the series as I didn't get to deep into ML with this one, but your low technique ratings stuck out to me. The bigger clubs usually have a lot of players with high 70s & above. I realize it's a small slice of the ratings pie, but I think it's an important one, so I agree with Mamizu...Comment

Re: Something in the Making: Lam Matteo (PES 2009)
Hey Matt,
You probably know this chart already, but in case you don´t, it might help you choosing how to divide your strengthen points.
As you can see, technique (kicking) trains most stats. In combination with technique (dribbling) even more.
Anyway, with all these matches this season, you should see some good results.
Good luck!Comment

Re: Something in the Making: Lam Matteo (PES 2009)
Definitely will start the technique "rehab" immediately, thanks guys. I wish I had thought of that before the last transfer session - but that's okay, we'll give Matteo some time. I think that is what makes last season's performance so remarkable that Matteo was able to still have a "Ronaldo-escque" season with low technique.
Something is definitely in the making :P - let's see how we go with Newcastle tonight!
btw, izu - I don't see the chart bud.Comment

Re: Something in the Making: Lam Matteo (PES 2009)
Hopefully this will work... And even if you don't get your technique up fast enough this season, if you have 2 seasons in a row like last year's season, you're bound to get some incredible offers anyway. It's not just stats that do the trick, me thinks.
And good luck tonight. Go pound them Magpies.Comment

Hey, I really like Lam Matteo, and this is the second dynasty I'm following after Bhurst's hockey one, and they are on even grounds! B's has a nice novelistic theme to it, but I like the way yours is presented a lot too! Keep it up!Comment

Re: Something in the Making: Lam Matteo (PES 2009)
Cesc Fabregas could thank the referee after converting two penalty kicks back to back, but Giovinco had other things in mind when he notched the match winner.
Newcastle 3-4 Fulham
Mysterious officiating gives Fabregas two goals; Cottagers avoid defeat thanks to Giovinco's late strike
-Johnson Peoples, September 2014
--------------------------------------------------
'35 Vincken, '71-73 Fabregas (PK)
Caution: Tozer ('42), Beye ('87) Sent Off:
'9 Lazaros, '30 Matteo, '60 Andreasen, '86 Giovinco
Caution: Andreasen ('71), Steve Davis ('73) Sent Off: Volz ('79, tackle from "behind")
Standings: Fulham (2-0-0, 6 pts -- 2nd)
---------------------------------------------------
Strange. Seeing a red card and two penalties back-to-back from the referee was something St. James witnessed tonight. The tackles from Volz and Andreasen, which resulted in the penalty kicks, seemed to be ball first contact - however, the referee saw it the other way around - even by sending off Volz for his "malicious" tackle on Cesc Fabregas. Matteo's goal was a striker's goal - right place, right time - good finish!
