It's been 66 pages ago since we started reading about Matteo's football career. I don't know about everyone else, but I started to think back about how he got to the point he is now. So I've been so bold to make a short overview of his career displaying the kits he's been wearing in the last 10+ years and the goals he scored wearing them and such. Have a look. I think it's fairly accurate, if not completely accurate.

That is fantastic! It's crazy to see how you had a pretty steady about 4 seasons with Fulham, but the past 3 years you have gone from club to club without really finding a true home. Hopefully Wolverhampton is it! I wonder if Matteo will ever be able to get back to his 2013/2014 form, or if he really is past his prime? Hmmm...

Wow - that is extremely accurate. Thanks for that mamizu! Incredible journey it's been, and it's pretty remarkable that at one point Matteo was the top scorer.

Thanks again - that was great compilation of stats Mamizu.

Past his prime, lol. Believe me it's starting to feel that way. He is going through a bit of a Beckham-escque style with his hair style changes.

Wolves is a solid club as I've said - I'm excited to see what comes of it. They are a true Matteo club - and it fits that he is coming to age as a midfielder, instead of that young striker. Maybe when he gets older, he will be Kevin Doyle's strike partner.

Yup, the first bit of his career he´s had a steady run, with keeping transfers to a minimum. But after the accident, he´s changed clubs 5 times in 3 years. I reckon he´ll stay at Wolverhampton a bit longer, but I´d like to see him make a move to a bigger club as well.
I suppose you´re not thinking of packing your bags to some place warmer? Spain or Italy? On the PC you can even patch in the Bundesliga.

Oh, btw, could you give me the assist numbers that are missing? I'd like a complete chart. :P

It's true - I think the change of clubs has been primarily cause Matteo wanted out of the Championship so badly, he wanted it pronto. Newcastle was his ticket, but with the jacked up UEFA Europa with Watford involved - it should have opened some eyes to some other European clubs.

Sadly the BAL format takes a while for the Euro clubs to start taking a look at you, but on the other hand, that's about right.

A move to Italy or Spain (even the USA) could come about. Many games left on this seasons to think about that though.

            Assists:

            Watford 3
            Newcastle 2

A solid victory at the Reebok
Coyle and Wolves take advantage of chances

              Johnson Peoples, wolves.co.uk

A convincing win by Owen Coyle and his Wolves tonight at the Reebok Stadium, 2-0 winners over Bolton Wanderers.

Both goals were scored in the first half by unlikely candidates Stefan Maierhofer and Andy Keogh.

Maierhofer has not scored a goal all season - and it was quite the relief for the boss who opted to play the tall striker over Kevin Doyle, who is still day-to-day with the flu.

"I am absolutely delighted that Stefan found a goal, it was a goal we badly needed - but I'm sure it was one that he had hoped for since joining the club."

A goal by Andy Keogh was the striker's second goal of the season, but also has two assists as well.

Wolves dominated Bolton in possession, and with speedy Lam Matteo on the flanks - the midfielder utilized such gifts defensively rather than offensively. The American did have a shot on goal, which produced a brilliant save by veteran keeper, Jussi Jaaskelainen.

The second half was dominated by Bolton, however, but well defended by Ronald Zubar and Richard Stearman at the heart of the Wolves defense. When called upon, Wayne Hennessey dominated the goal posts and produced only his 2nd cleansheet of the season.

The victory merits all three points for Wolves, and skyrockets the club to 13th in the ranking - last month they were just two points away from the potential drop zone.

              Next Match: v Sunderland (Away) - 10th, 32 pts
              Hanging around
KGB doesn't like that, neither did Bolton

Yes, it's a movie reference, but Matteo is continuing his brilliant play - not only on the attacking side, but offensively. I won't present my opinion on his new hairstyle though.

"Hair grows, man - I like it. I'm changing my boots though, maybe I'll even cut the hair. I dunno. Yeah, next week against Sunderland will be a test for us."

Oooo, teasing a move to the MLS, I love it! But, PES doesn't have MLS at all, right? Not that I have seen in my 360 version of it at least. If you can somehow do that, I would love to see you playing for Columbus Crew or the new Philadelphia Union! Great win for the Wolves. Turn around beginning???

Yeah, I'd have to find an MLS option file - which would be brilliant. I have yet to find one though. The storyline would make sense, maybe indulge Matteo to be the "Giggsy" of the USA,lol.

Irishman's hat trick helps Wolves prevail

                      Johnson Peoples, wolves.co.uk

The move up to the middle of the table continued for Wolves today, and with the excellent play of the Wolves players, Owen Coyle is showing even more and more security in his job.

Of course it doesn't hurt to have a striker with nack of scoring like Andy Keogh.

Before coming into this match, Keogh had only recorded 2 goals for the season. However, today, in the place for recovering (sickness) striker, Kevin Doyle, Keogh became the saving grace for a team that needed the result.

Sunderland striker, Darren Bent, scored very early in the match - and the away Wolves fans were shown hanging their heads already.

However, some great movement on the left flank by Matthew Jarvis and Segundo Castillo - set up a perfectly placed cross for Keogh, who made no mistake and took one back for the visitors.

Keogh would score 14 minutes later when a first time ball by Stephen Ward found the striker stretching out - and connected - giving the visiting fans something even more to cheer about.

Owen Coyle could not have been more pleased for the striker, but even more so for the club as a whole. Wolves have no moved up to 12th, with only 13 matches remaining in the season.

"With the amount of games left, if we continue to play the way we are - and score goals - we could be on the verge of turning this season completely around. I hope our fortune remains, but our work effort increase."

                      Next Match: v Newcastle (Away) - 18th, 24 pts
                      An assist!
Forgot to record the vid, and pictures

Matteo was indeed there though, in the thick of the action as always.

"This was a pivotal match for us - and I am definitely excited for Andy (Keogh) for finally finding some goals, he was a man on fire today."

Love that Arsenal is on the brink of relegation, lol. Great to see Wolverhampton sitting in the middle of the table, that seems about right. Hopefully you will finish strong! You guys are really starting to find your "swerve" so to speak.
