      End of a good month
Hopes for February love affair with the goal

"I'm in good form this year - that win was something we needed pretty badly though. I'm really excited to see how we'll fare at the end of the year - maybe a send off to Uefa?"

          Hey Matt!
Awesome matches again! Matteo´s goal scoring form is incredible. Almost surreal even. :P
I was almost ready to exchange PES for FIFA. I was so annoyed with it. The 'realism' they tried to add totally backfired I think. But since I added 'speed merchant' in my skills, it's going a lot better. My shots still suck a lot, and my player seems to miss some of the easiest shots on his path! Did you add any skills, like 1 on 1? That should probably help. Cause Matteo doesn't seem to have the same problem my guy has. :P

Well, well - I thought someone would at least call me on it, guess noone can tell.

              But this is PES 10

I started on PES 11. After a while though, I couldn't stand the gameplay, the animations - just took a big hit. PES10 with a new graphics card is an incredible game. No speed cheat either from the CBs was HUGE.

So yeah, I made it work somehow. Looking forward to the end of the season though - that's when I can "sync" everything back up.

How is your guy doing? Scoring goals? Or is he a speedy keeper!? Lol - would love a bit of a background IZU!

That is the goal - he is firing at will. I have shot so many times from anywhere - love that feeling of a goal more than ever. The team is actually really well balanced too.

Damn! I really couldn't tell! But yeah, the difference between 10 and 11 is immense. I sometimes really hate pes11. The defenders, ANY defender, is ALWAYS faster than let's say Messi or Ronaldo even. The forwards never seem to be able to outrun the defenders, even with a headstart. No fair! But since I've gotten that skill, my guy is a lot more agile and it's a little easier to avoid the oncoming defenders. The shooting is still ridiculously difficult. One moment I can score a beauty from outside the box. The next I hit that ball so hard from close by, and it flies high over the bar. It's really weird... Maybe the 'one on one' skill card will help me with that. The problem is, that if you train for that skill, your stats will hardly improve for that period of time. Annoying, but realistic.
I also love the new transfer system. In the earlier versions, the midseason transfer window only generated offers from the current league. Only the pre/post season transfer period offered adventures abroad. They also implemented multiple year contracts in this version. So yeah, the technical issues around the matches and stuff have improved. The play itself definitely has NOT.
I made my guy Japanese for this one. :P Just wanted to see how the Asia/Oceania Cup was, and how an Asian country would compete with European (in previous BAL games, I was always a Dutchie, since... that's what I am).
He's a winger, it's my favorite position, as they are one of the fastest players on the pitch. But as expected... after a while he will just get played as a CF. Which I also love, that's where the goals come from!
It's now just the 3rd season. Started with Heracles Almelo (if you remember from Matteo's 3 years in the Eredivisie). After a year, transferred to Twente, and now the 3rd year, still with Twente, having a good shot at the title this season. So far in first place, after losing the first 3 matches. 2nd in the topscorer ranking currently, last season also finished 2nd I think. Hoping for a move to the Premier League next season. Tottenham, Liverpool, Arsenal and Fulham (thanks to Matteo) are my top choices.
I think I like this one a lot better. In PES10, my guy was, except for the first season of his career, ALWAYS, the topscorer of the league. Won the Champions League 9 times (with 5 different teams), Europa League twice... World Champion twice, European Champion twice... Like 120 hattricks in his career... And it was on Top Player... So that wouldn't really make a good dynasty. :P So yeah, so far, this one seems to be more realistic.

Lol @ Longest post ever by izu!

Brilliant career so far it sounds like. Japanese is a good touch, is there a little mix in there or is he full japanese? Always have to love the half players, for instance one of my favorite Dutch players is half Indonesian (like me, but I'm half American), Giovani Van Bronckhorst.

Yeah, I'm starting to understand the ease of pes 10 on top player. And believe me, once the season is over - I am going to be wrestling with whether or not to do pes 11 or stick to pes 10. There's a lot I hate about pes11 that might just outweigh the intricacies of 10. Also hate hate hate how much worse the net physics got in 11.

I remember Matteo played a lot of winger, you'r absolutely right about how much fun it was on that position - speeding everywhere. I personally love it because of the player cam.

I must say I am proud that all my goals, except maybe 2, have been scored on Player Cam.

Okay, finished couple update in bit.

Ha! That 2nd goal was a big LOL. That's a real characteristic of PES10 though. :P
Yeah, I loved Gio. He had such a rich career. Too bad he couldn't end it with the World Cup title. Especially after scoring such a beauty in the semi final against Uruguay. I'm still gutted... I may never recover...
I think after this season you should maybe still stick to PES10? Because as soon as you switch to PES11, the difficulty will increase immensly, and then instead of scoring 25 goals (like this season), he'll only score 5. :P The problem with PES10 however is also that stats don't really decline as soon as your player gets older... Or actually. I can't really say, because all my stats, except for one... were ALL on 95 (talking about unrealistic and easy...). So it would make sense that when he turns 34 or something, his role would be more a pinchhitter one...
I'm too afraid to try Player Cam. That's very impressive stuff. I tried it for 2 or 3 matches... But it's just too weird for me. :P I think it's really impressive that some people actually know how to play with that Cam.
Now back to my guy on PES 11... he was scoring a goal a match this season... Much like Matteo... But then he didn't score for 2 matches, and he was benched immediately!!! Like... wtf??? Dude!!! Anyway... Asked my agent to ask Tottenham to put some scouts on the stands for me. And they already offered me a contract, 2 months prior to the end of the season. So f you Twente, hello Premier League!
Oh, and yeah, if I was gonna make it a story line, I would make him half Dutch, half Japanese. And then make him choose for his Japanese roots, mainly because PES11 is a harder game, and so it would be more difficult to get into the Dutch squad then it would be getting into the Japanese one. :P

Oh, and keep us posted about the current ranking. Where's Fulham now? Last couple matches were almost all victories! Should be climbing near the top 5?

Oh, and yeah, if I was gonna make it a story line, I would make him half Dutch, half Japanese. And then make him choose for his Japanese roots, mainly because PES11 is a harder game, and so it would be more difficult to get into the Dutch squad then it would be getting into the Japanese one. :P

Oh, and keep us posted about the current ranking. Where's Fulham now? Last couple matches were almost all victories! Should be climbing near the top 5?
I could definitely see half japanese, and you going that route. Pes 11 is quite hard. I just played a couple of exhibitions on fixed mode/player cam and had some difficulty even with Ronaldo.

I know everything in me says stay with PES 10. however, I have a dilemma and it is the fault of a man named "yair" on Evo-Web.

He has fixed the net physics of PES 11. That's right, it is the most beautiful thing I have seen since PES 6. On top of that my graphics card allows me to play on high resolution, high graphics - it's just mesmirizing how beautiful PES 11 is than PeS 10.

As for the gameplay. It wasn't as bad as I remembered it. So I'm definitely relieved. Also, the method of play by the cpu players (AI and teammate) are not terrible, and also not predictable.

The main issue is that pes 11 speed up on the defenders is annoying; but manageable to me.

So, all signs point towards a pes 11 merger at the end of the season.

I will update standings in the next couple of posts - just finished 2 quick ones.

                              Look what I found.

Way to bury it though. Matteo could probably move to a bigger club. Get some of the Citeh cash before you retire.

*Well, despite the recent form, we still sit in 9th place with only 11 matches remaining. No matter what results we get, seems to stay put - let's hope a strong final showing can get Fulham into UEFA stage.
