Congratulations on your first hattrick!!! Really awesome stuff! It's like you knew what your next milestone would be, that you just had to reach it this season. :P Good end of the season. Shame it's only 10th place. I wonder where they would've been without Matteo's firepower.
Whoops. I just found something. You were already on 23 goals and 30 matches the last match. So either you didn't check the topscorer ranking after this last match, or you were wrong before? I hope it's the first and it would make this 31 matches and 26 goals.
LOL, Izu you stats crazed man, lol. I'm not sure what I would do without yo man, haha. And yes, I think I forgot another minute scored beside Pavlychenko.

I did some poor math there, lol - should be 26 (will change asap) on 31 matches, you're right.

LMAO - that was awesome, this year I think Matteo could have played with a broken leg and score from anywhere.

          Which is probably why.......

          Matteo's services requested
Golden Boot winner seeked by Real Madrid, AC Milan, Liverpool
by Mark Schwarzer last updated 5 June 2024

After the best season of his life, 32-year old American Lam Matteo is the hottest item on the marlet

Scoring 26 goals in 31 games is an incredible feature, and it is one that has not been ignored by the giants of the football world. Despite his veteran age of 32, Fulham's Lam Matteo's stock has culminated to the top, and the likes of Real Madrid, AC Miland, Inter Milan and Liverpool have approached Matteo's agent, Johnson Peoples within the last week.
"We have received multiple bids from some highly marked clubs in Europe," Peoples confirms, "All offers will be considered, but at the end of the day it is up to Lam and his family".

With the news comes a dilemma for Matteo, who has only been back in London with Fulham for just over a year after his plans to retire in the USA were stifled when the Kansas City Wizards were forced to let the high-salary forward go due to the financial concerns of Major League Soccer (MLS).

Now, the American essentially has any club of his choosing. The neutrals would suggest a move to Real Madrid would make hisotry as Matteo would be the first ever American to ever play for the prestigious club. On top of that, Matteo played in the Serie A with AC Siena and did not enjoy it, so a move to Inter or AC Milan could result in the striker falling back to England.

          What we got
Exclusive look at what is being offered, and by whom
If being an agent was originally what I planned on doing when I first noticed Matteo years ago, I would think that this moment in time is Heaven on Earth. For me that is. Matteo is hardpressed on his status quo - and it's not easy considering he has a full family to think of as well with Ess and little Alex, who is becoming a prodigy of his own - joining the West Ham United youth squad at the age of 7 this week.

          AC Milan - $30m, 2 years

Cons: Serie A has not been well to Matteo, health and goal scoring wise

Re: Something in the Making: Lam Matteo (PES 2009)

In the 2022-2023 season, Matteo scored 26 goals for Fulham.
The 26th goal of the match was special in more ways. It was his first hattrick of the season, but even more special, it was his 100th goal for Fulham!
He is the 8th player in the history of Fulham to have reached this incredible milestone. The last time someone entered the ´100 group´ was over 40 years ago. Furthermore, Matteo needed just 126 matches (in 4 seasons) to reach these 100 goals.
Of the current 8 players, Matteo is the only player not from the United Kingdom. Five were English, one was Welsh and one was Scottish.
Another interesting fact (well, I think so, but it looks like I have a stats fetish) is that Matteo scored 100 goals in just 4 seasons for Fulham. That means he scored 62 goals for 11 other teams spread out over 9 seasons! That shows how good of a match Fulham and Matteo are.

Don't go to Madrid. I F-ing hate them. :P Have my doubts about Serie A as well... They haven't been very kind to Matteo in the past. On the other hand it would be thé chance for redemption and prove Siena and Napoli wrong. Liverpool or Dortmund are probably your best options though. Or stay with Fulham. :P Ahhhh, it's such a hard decision!! I wouldn't know what to do. Good luck with that!

Holy crap - you went all out with the stats, izu! Haha. Fulham has been so good to Matteo, and the reward back the other way. Goodness, what a move it wold be for him though - dare I say Beckham-esque; minus the Sir Alex drama....

Man, that 100th goal of the season - can't believe I overlooked that - need to hire you Izu as my official stats keeper, I obviously don't know what I'm doing. What can I say, I play the game - and create some figment of a storyline, lol. With no basis of any understanding of math/science or common sense.lol.

Now, KG mentions the Rossoneri - I would think that move could really work actually. It's true Matteo does need to show that he can play with the physical men of Italy; and to prove that would be an ultimate feat.

                  On the other hand...

                  REAL MADRID....ahhhhh

how nice would that be - yeah, he'd probably get lost in the shuffle, but still...

Liverpool? Hmmm, isn't that sacrilege towards Fulham or something?

Again... DON'T go to Madrid. :P It's not worth it playing there for half a season and then being tossed aside like they did with Guti and Raul who were faithful throughout their entire career. I really don't like them much. :P

Fulham and Liverpool aren't rivals. Fulham's main rival is Chelsea, and Liverpool's is Manchester United (also Everton). So I think you'd be good.

On the other hand... After being a pro football player and having earned nothing but a Gold Cup and 2 Golden Boot Awards, it's time Matteo wins some championships... He deserves it. So a move to any of the big clubs mentioned provides that option. And there's plenty of challenges outside the Premier League as well. So yeah, again, tough decision. Wouldn't wanna be in your shoes.

I could see you wreaking havoc on Italian backlines with your combo of speed/touch. Your finishing rate might take a dip because of competition for PT but you will probably be playing more matches as a club (deeper Cup run and European action) and you will get better service by your teammates (playing with better quality players) so who knows.

When I see Real on TV I dream of the day that Guily might get to wear that prestigious uniform. It's a thing of beauty and I'm a Chelsea fan.

Well, Matteo deserves a championship. He's been waiting 13 years for one already. I hope it's not Real. He doesn't fit in with Real. I mean... skill wise he does of course, but not personality wise. He's no glamour boy.

I myself just lowered the difficulty on PES11. I always play on Top Player, but I brought it down one notch. It was ridiculous how my team mates played. The AI of my team mates was always at Professional level, while the opponent was on Top Player. I don't mind losing, but this was ridiculous. I got like 2 or 3 good passes per match. This really opened up the game. I need to balance it, I don't want it to get too easy like PES10 either... I don't want my guy to be the match winner every match. :P

Come ooooooon, your hour has passed. Bring us the news! The suspense!!

Hello, San Siro - Matteo joins AC Milan for $50M
by Mark Schwarzer last updated 9 June 2024

A momuntal occasion in Milan, having Matteo be the first American to sign with the club

The Rossoneri finished in a dissapointing 3rd place in their goal for the Scudetto last season. This coming season, second year manager Johnathan Huley believes the attack has to be better, thus the signing of a highly capable veteran in Lam Matteo.

"He is a strong contender anywhere he plays - any position," says the former Belgium international midfielder, "You need to have a player like that who can lead the team right away - will he be captain? It depends, his track record for Fulham is remarkable."

As for Matteo's thoughts, the thought of winning championships is what prompted the move.

"I am 32 now, while I feel there is much football left in me, I'm not keen on the chances of Fulham achieving that. This is the move I'm making to get some hardware."

Hardware can come in the form of the UEFA Champions League title as well considering Milan finished 2nd place to Chelsea.

Initially, for an unproven striker in the Serie A, a kit number such as "21" or "30" would be appropriate.

Huley has honored Matteo's history, and given the striker the coveted number 10 kit.

"The honor is mine," says Matteo, "I look forward to proving I'm worthy of it."
