Oh Matteo, you just keep 'em coming...
If he continues this streak he'll break the record of most goals in a single Serie A season (which was set by Gunnar Nordahl in the 1949/1950 season. 35 goals).
The Serie A is a very difficult competition for a striker. In the last 50 years(!!), it only occured once that a striker scored over 30 goals. That was Luca Toni in 2006. Of course I have no insight in what happened in the period of Matteo's career between 2011 and 2023 in the Serie A, but still. :P
This is very impressive stuff.

Ahaha that's brilliant. A 30 goal season is always the goal, but this year even more, dare I say 40 goals.

Of course unless Matteo opts to retire in the middle of the season! Lol. That, or move back to the Cottage (I miss it!).

I'm glad I have you here as my stats guy izu - I wouldn't know what records are being broken.

And as always, I'm thinking up another way to report this - I like the simplicity, but then again if these are the last couple years of Matteo's career, I should be making them more in depth. The only logical flaw with TMI is that the season is a long one.

I honestly planned out this weekend to do nothing but play Matteo non stop. Then I got in an accident
