I can't believe this is still going strong. How old is Lam Matteo now? Do you keep his age progressing through the different games (meaning if you stopped playing PES 2011 when he was 30, do you make him as a 30 year old in PES 2012, and so on)?

He is 32, 33 soon. Yes I do - which is why some of the names are familiar; I'm willing to sacrifice a tad bit of realism for the sake of playing a better game. PES 12 is a solid game, so I decided to really put in the effort to make transfers and retire anyone who is 40 years old after I modified ages to +8 or so on an original option file.

Good to see you again, man. The era of Matteo is still going strong.

Having won 16 out of a possible 21 points in the last 7 matches, I think you'll be safe for a while! Fulham is doing awesome on the table! 2nd half of the season should be promising!
Meanwhile I'll go and update Matteo's stats a bit.

ah i know, he's finding the back of the net at ease. It's a challenge still though despite what can be assumed. His finishing is just so much better.

FA says match fixing scandal brough to light, matches on hold
by Mark Schwarzer last updated 2 February 2025

The news cast a dark shadow over the state of the Football Association's lack of investigation into this year's match fixing suspicions.

Morning order was brought to a hault Monday as the England's governing body, the Football Association, received confirming evidence of five separate match-fixing incidents involving 3 premiership teams, and 3 championship teams.
"This is truly a shock," says committee member Ray Lewington, "I'm not quite sure what to think to be honest. We, the FA, are currenlty investigating all charges and accusations with due dilligence."

In response to the possibility of the 2024-25 football season to be canceled:

"It's not what has happened in the past for other European leagues, but that would involve FIFA if we were to make a big decision."

The teams that are under investigation have not been revealed and according to Lewington "All clubs are thoroughly under investigation".

What does this mean for the tim being? If there was a timeout in football, someone just called it. For how long - who knows.

                      What Happened:

Overwrote my save files on accident!! Lost the option file and ML for good. really upset. but will somehow make this work - just have to put in the work to fix it all tonight.

Essentially just this ML. So technically the season so far, but I have some ideas. Just trying to find a good patch and get things up to date again. The good thing is I wasn't super far into the ML, so I can work from there.

Updates will probably be this weekend, I've been testing out a couple of patches here and there, might eventually just go back to the drawing board and use the same stuff from before.

Thanks for checking in guys - I was hoping the potential tragedy would catch some "eyes" - glad things are going to work out thankfully.

                              Hm... i guess I didn't reply cause I was in denial. :P I didn't want to know!
Seems to me that perhaps the easiest way to get back is to start the season over and put the difficulty on super easy. Then have Matteo score like crazy until he's where he was with his number of goals and/or play until you've reached the same position on the table as you did right after the first half of the season and then just put the difficulty back up and pick up where you left off (you could easily skip a few games or keep the games like 5 mins each with the lowest difficulty)... Also seems like a lot of work, but I would hate to see the season being canceled because of these technical issues.
So I hope you're coming up with a viable solution.

I swear, Izu - we are brothers separated at birth. I was thinking this as option A. The other option was to yes "skip" the entire season, but lower Matteo's ratings significantly.

This season so far has been magical - and the fact that I have to repeat it, just kind of stinks, because I have plans for Mr. Matteo. Plans that might or might not be beneficial.
