Thanks a bunch for the kind words. Its really been fun putting it all together. I feel bad I haven't updated this in a little while. Things have just been so busy lately that its hard to sit down and get multiple entries put on the thread. I can't give an accurate time frame on when I'll get something up, but I hope to have something soon for everyone. Thanks again.

Aston Villa Continues to Slide without Benteke

Allen uses a slick McGeady spin to get in position for his second goal

Aston Villa has not been the same since they sold Benteke to Tottenham at the end of the winter window. They have not won a game since he was sold and have gone from a Champions League place to floundering in sixth position. QPR would take advantage of their struggles, as they would bury the visitors with 3 goals. The first two were from Alvin Allen, who would get back on the board after a small goalless streak in the Premier League for the leading goal scorer. The highlight was his second goal, as Hoilett would find the American running up the wing. Allen would then do a quick turn and spin in between the Clark and Hutton, then sprinted inside before rocketing a left footed strike near post past the befuddled Sommer who had no chance of stopping it. Allen would add an assist as well, returning the favor to a cutting Taarabt on the through pass before the endof the match. Taarabt would finish easily, trickling the ball into the bottom corner easily. QPR continues to roll, 3-0, over the struggling Aston Villa who find themselves still looking for answers.

          “Defense!” THUMP THUMP “Defense!”
The crowd roared for a defensive stop as my brother Allen brought the ball up the court. I sat courtside as my brother and his visiting Rockets faced off against the hometown Chicago Bulls in a basketball game. The clock ticked down towards halftime as Al dribbled the ball up the court. He crossed over and moved to his left with 5 seconds remaining. He let the ball go with 1 second left and the swish of the net silenced the crowd as the Rockets were up by double digits heading into the half. I jumped up and yelled, “Yeah!” as the home crowd booed my brother. Gabby playfully punched me in the shoulder, rocking her new Bulls jersey I had bought her. I laughed and kissed her on the cheek, smiling, while enjoying the time I was spending with her.
Gabby got up to head for some concessions, and I reflected on how odd this trip back home had been. I was on vacation and decided to take my brother up on his offer of tickets to his game in Chicago. I invited Gabby, and to my surprise, she actually came. Our ride to the stadium was full of apologies and crying, but the game was nothing but fun and excitement. I realized how much I cared for her and how hard it was living my life without her and my daughter by my side. My feelings for Taisia had made my relationship with Gabby all the more confusing, but I knew deep down that being with Gabby made me feel whole. I was reflecting on this when someone that was not her sat next to me suddenly.
“Alvin, you can’t avoid me forever,” a voice said sarcastically.
“What do you want, Alton?” I spat back.
My brother A.T. snarled up at me. “I want you to stop trying to renite with Gabrielle, and instead use that Allen charm on our mutual interest.”
“I’m not interested in Taisia, A.T.”
“Well, technically neither am I,” he laughed, “I’m more interested in her father.”
          “Well, A.T., I know for a fact he’s single…” I teased.
“That’s not what I meant!” he snapped. “You know I need to know about Matvei’s work with A-81.”
“Why?” I asked. “You had access to that information when Leo had control of A-81.”
“Don’t worry about Leo,” he smiled, “Bro, I know Taisia is going to ask you to do something for her in regards to her father. I just need you to keep your brother in mind when it comes to that information.”
“A.T., what are you up to?” I pondered.
"Pick up that phone when I call you, Alvin. Gabby's coming. I'll be in touch."
Alton left as the start of the 3rd quarter began, but I wondered, what was A.T. up to? Did my own brother really just threaten me? And why was he so interested in Matvei?

Southampton Schools QPR with Huge Defensive Performance

Mayuka celebrates his header in the 21' as the only goal of the match

Southampton would hold the a strong QPR squad to only one shot all match as the vistors would propel themselves to an easy victory over the favortie QPR side who had been on a tear through the Premier League as of late. In the 21' minute, Mayuka would find himself all alone in the box as a bad clearance would see the ball bounce to a wide open Puncheon on the right side. The winger would put the ball into the air as the keeper Vrom would try to close out, but it would be too late. Mayuka would snap the ball into the corner with his head for the easy goal that would turn out to be the winner. Sothampton's defense caused all sorts of problems for Allen and his teammates, preventing the striker from even getting close to the net. Strong physical play by team leader Luke Shaw, helped prevent QPR from getting anything going, while attakers Llanana and Mayuka kept pressing the attacked for Southampton, preventing, QPR from getting forward with their midfield. QPR wiull need to inprove as the end of the season approaches. Their next matchup will be against rivals Chelsea in one weeks time.

Chelsea Takes Another Step Back in Title Race

Allen drills a strike that put Chelsea in a hole early

The fans at Stamford Bridge once again find themselves stewing over frustration with old London rival QPR. The Blues let Allen carve through their defense right from the first whistle, as the star striker drilled a strike into the upper corner past a diving Courtois that left the home fans silent. Chances by Hazard and Ramires were way off target, and by the time Chelsea finally got into the flow of the match, Allen had found the back of the net with another shot, this time on a header from a Faurlin cross. QPR would cruise to an easy win, playing possession football in the second half. Chelsea is running out of time to catch Manchester City, who continue to dominate the top of the standings. Meanwhile, another win for QPR helps their cause towards a Champions League spot, and Allen brings his Premier League goal total to 24 on the year.

QPR Continues to Make Their Late Charge Up the Table

                      Phillips celebrates his dominate performance

QPR struggled at home to Wigan initially, but once the second half began, they imposed their will on the struggling Wigan Athletic. Wigan came into the match with a "do not lose" strategy and for a while, it almost worked. With great play by their defense led by Rogne, Wigan fell into a defensive shell that saw the QPR forwards frustrated in the middle of the field. Al-Habsi was on his game, parrying away two early shots from Allen that most of the time find their way into the back of the net. Redknapp had to rethink his strategy in the second half, and that came from an attack on the wings. Phillips emerged as the go to man on the right, first setting up the give and go with Allen before the striker crossed the ball into him for the header in the 64' for the first goal. After that goal, Wigan began to fold in on themselves, allowing Phillips to return the favor to Allen just before the whistle blew in the 90' on a cross/header combo of his own. Wigan would drop another heartbreaker, moving closer to the relegation zone with only eight games remianing on the season. Meanwhile, QPR grabs another win and the top 5 clubs get a bit tighter at the top for the Champions League positioning.

QPR Almost Blows Game to Last Place West Brom

Allen calls for the ball and Hoilett finds him with a great cross

Twenty shots and thirteen on target would normally be the story when a top side like QPR would face a last place team such as West Bromwich. But the match almost went sideways for the fans a Zvezda stadium late in the second half. QPR was leading 1-0, and QPR got a little lax on defense. Vossen cut up the middle of the field and would give to Dorrans just to his left just outside the penalty area. They crossed paths, as Dorrans weaved behind Vossen, screening his defender to get a clear strike on goal. The ball came off his foot low, into the bottom corner past the outstretched hands of Vorm for the goal to even the match at 1-1. West Brom would not stop there, winning the ball back on the kickoff and pushing right back into QPR territory. Dorrans would break free again, finding himself with a free strike on Vorm. Vorm charged out from the net, and Dorrans unselfishly gave back to his counterpart Vossen, this time to his right for the wide open shot on net and the sweaty goal opportunity. Vossen would miss badly, skying the ball way over the crossbar when all that was needed was a small tap in for West Brom to take the lead. This chain of events seemed to spark QPR back into action, as soon after M;Bia would take hold of the midfield, give the ball to Allen, and he would chip it to a cutting Jeon who buried the game winner in the 80' for the home fans. A tough win is still a win, and QPR escapes once again with 3 points, grabbing their 4th win in a row.

Struggling West Ham Goes Goose Egg Against QPR

Allen gets another goal, bringing his total to 27 on the year

Zero shots on target. Zero shots off target. And most importantly, zero points. West Ham continues to lose their fight against relegation, dropping another 3 points, and in turn 3 goals, to the hottest team in the league Queens Park Rangers. Allen got them on the board early with his 27th goal on the year. His left foot was on fire as he rocketed a shot into the upper corner to give his team the early lead. He would use that same left foot to send in a perfect cross to the streaking MBia for the diving header later in the half, before Hoilett would finish off the goal scoring with a 71' goal on a break. If one word could be used to describe QPR today, it would be efficient. They managed the game perfectly, and struck when it mattered, a clear departure from their last blunder against West Brom. The season is winding down, and both of these teams are positioning themselves for the homestretch. One is looking better than the other, and it is definitely not the team with a bunch of zeroes in their box score.

Two Top Teams Had a Battle of Wills in a Scoreless Draw

Man U and QPR fought a tough defensive battle all match long

The flash of the Red Devils has always appealed to the fans of Manchester United. Suarez and Kagawa have used their offensive talents to propel Man U to 4th place on the year, but today's match was of a different variety. The stars of today's match were of the defensive variety, as defensive midfielder Fellaini, and centerbacks Keane and Jones pushed QPR around with their size and strength up the middle. Allen was not able to find any room all match. Due to this, QPR's offense was sluggish without Allen's leadership, and the wingers found their crosses parried away with ease by the tough Manchester defense. Unfortunately for the fans of Old Trafford, Manchester United could not seem to find the target for themselves either. The Rangers defense, led by Ehmer, was able to hold their own on the back line against a tough attack. Suarez was just a hair off in his shots, taking 3 on the evening which all sailed wide or high over the net. The tough defensive battle would ultimately end in a scoreless draw, with both teams having fought well on the evening. No Champions League spots would be clinched on the day for these two teams, but instead they look forward to matches next week to see if they can both try to repeat that notion.
