WWE Chairman Vince McMahon has announced his sale of WWE and all of its assets of the company in which includes the WWE Network and programming that includes Monday Night Raw and Friday Night Smackdown.
McMahon has sold his company which has been his family for generations to young millionaire mogul Bryan Smith for an undisclosed amount.
McMahon sighted financial troubles for himself and his family as the reason to sell the company after WrestleMania 30.
Bryan Smith had this to say about acquiring the multi million dollar publicly traded company, "I have been a wrestling fan since I was a child, and once I heard the rumor that Vince was having trouble sustaining the company I was elated and I had to put an offer on the table. And now I am the principal owner of the WWE!"
When jokingly asked was he going to become an on screen character on television much like McMahon had done for many years while being the owner all Smith had to say was, "I have no plans currently of becoming an on screen character on WWE Programming for the time being. Never say never though because anything is possible."
Finishing his statement he said, "To the fans, I am just as much of a fan as you are! Changes will be made but it will always be in the best interest of the fans! Then, Now, Forever!"
