    WCW Redux | A WWE 2K15 Universe

World Championship Wrestling ceased operations on March 26, 2001 after the company began struggling financially due to the superiority of its strongest and most direct competitor, WWF. While many of WCW's superstars did jump ship to WWF, a few, like "The Icon" Sting, did not. Many possible feuds and storylines that could have played out in WCW never happened, leaving many wrestling fans with a feeling of dissatisfaction considering what could have been.

Through this universe, I plan to give all of you that chance. I'm turning back the clock to the late 90s and bringing back the WCW as a company with Monday Night Nitro taking center stage at the beginning of every wrestling fan's week. Some things of course will be different from how they were in real life, including an alternate reality where Paul Levesque (aka Hunter Hearst Helmsley) and The Undertaker never left the company in the mid-90s. Why? Because WCW bought out WWF in this universe, and claimed rights to all past and future pay-per-view names, brand names, etcetera. However, WCW chose not to give contracts to the superstars on WWF's roster, leaving them to join independent and foreign promotions. So stay tuned for what the WCW has in store for you this time around, as the top company in the world of wrestling!

Also Taker left WCW before the mid-90s. He debuted in 1990 as Undertaker. So it makes sense that he is Undertaker if they bought out WWE before that but I would be interested in you running with him as "Mean" Mark Callous (or Calaway) and doing a new outfit for him and making him more of a midcarder and building him up. Maybe even as a tag guy or something. It's up to you but since you said he never left WCW, but also said mid 90s they bought out WWF there are a few inaccuracies if you want to be accurate.

Jericho is a multi-time former Cruiser weight champion in WCW in the time that his Universe is set. Pretty sure he can still contend for the CW title in the game.

Yeah I realized this after I made my intro post, but I have no CAW spots left for an outfit. I kind of have OCD about the character having the same name in-game as they do on my posts here, so I'm just going to leave him as Taker. You're right though it's not really accurate :/

Thanks, was gonna say this. He's going to start off as the cruiserweight champ in this universe as well. I think I'll also have him compete for the US and Heavyweight titles though since Jericho has always been one of those guys who just wins everything lol

Monday Night Nitro - April - Week #1

On this episode of Monday Night Nitro, the goal is going to be to establish the number one contenders for all the titles, heading into our Pay-Per-View on April 30th, Unforgiven. Firstly the United States Championship. To pick the #1 contender for that title we'll be having a 6-man tournament consisting of three one on one matches with different stipulations: Roddy Piper vs. the British Bulldog with the manager of his choice, Jeff Jarrett vs. Curt Hennig in an No Holds Barred match and Eddie Guerrero vs. Chris Benoit in a Submission match. The winners of those three matches will face each other next week in a triple threat match to determine the number one contender for Diamond Dallas Page's United States Championship.

For the Tag Team Championship, the two hottest tag teams in the company right now, nWo (Nash and Hall) and Harlem Heat will face off, with the winner automatically earning the rights to a title shot at Unforgiven.

The World Heavyweight Championship contender will be decided through a two bracket tournament. In order to give an equal chance to men of all sizes, there will be a Faal-Four Way match between the top Super-Heavyweights in the company Big Show, Andre the Giant, Undertaker and Vader as well as a Fatal-Four-Way match between the top Heavyweights in the company Ric Flair, Sting, Goldberg and Ultimate Warrior. The winners of these two matches will face each other next week to determine who gets a crack at Hogan's World Heavyweight Championship.

And for our main event we have an incredible, 6-man ladder match to decide who will be the number one contender for Chris Jericho's Cruiserweight Championship. Mysterio, Chavo Guerrero, Brian Pillman, the nWo's Syxx, Dean Malenko and Ultimo Dragon will face off in what is sure to be the match of the night to see which one of them will get a shot at the gold in three weeks at Unforgiven. You do NOT want to miss this one folks.

With that, let's get this show started, it's sure to be a wild one!

Match #1: Rowdy Roddy Piper vs. British Bulldog w/ Lord Steven Regal
British Bulldog took control of this matchup early on, and kept control throughout the bout, hitting some big power moves including several suplexes and a powerful knee-drop to the face. It looked as though Regal wouldn't need to get involved, but Roddy Piper kept kicking out of everything. The match took a turn when Regal hopped up on the apron to distract the referee. At the same time, Bulldog tried to throw a punch at Piper, who dodged causing Regal to get knocked to ringside. A remorseful British Bulldog lost focus, allowing Roddy Piper to hit a devastating Sit-Down Piledriver for the win. This means Piper advances to the United States Championship #1 Contender Triple Threat match next week on Nitro.
                          Winner: Rowdy Roddy Piper
                          Spoiler

Match #2: Jeff Jarrett vs. Curt Hennig - No Holds Barred
Now we have two of the top guys in the company going at it for a spot in the United States Championship #1 Contender Triple Threat match. Things were back and forth from the start with both superstars demonstrating excellent striking as well as mat wrestling skills. Momentum shifted when Hennig hit Jarrett with his patent suplex bridged into a pin, but Jarrett was able to kick out at two. Hennig looked to take things to the air, but was countered by Jeff who hit Curt with a neckbreaker followed up with The Stroke, but Hennig was also able to kick out at two. At this point both guys decided to take advantage of the No Holds Barred stipulation, taking the action outside of the ring. Hennig slammed Jarrett into the steel post, but lost focus allowing Jarrett to grab a sledgehammer from under the ring and level him with it. Jarrett got up and rolled Hennig back into the ring, delivered The Stroke again, and pinned him for the victory and a spot in next week's US Title #1 Contender match.
                          Winner: Jeff Jarrett
                          Spoiler

Match #3: Eddie Guerrero vs. Chris Benoit - Submission
Benoit was suprisingly dominant in this one considering the quality of his opponent. He was working over Eddie's head and neck for the entire matchup, with the final damage being done by a series of german suplexes. From there all that was left was for the Crippler to lock in the Crossface and Guerrero submitted, making Benoit the final and perhaps most dangerous entrant in next week's US Title #1 Contender Triple Threat match. Benoit, Jarrett, or Piper, who will face DDP at Unforgiven?
                          Winner: Chris Benoit
                          Spoiler

Match #4: Kevin Nash & Scott Hall w/ Hogan vs. Booker T & Stevie Ray
These two tag teams went back and forth at it during the matchup, but nWo proved to have the advantage with their leader and the World Champion, Hollywood Hogan at ringside. After a finisher from Scott Hall, Hogan attacked Stevie Ray at ringside, preventing him from getting involved and allowing Hall to pin Booker for the win and the #1 Contender spot for the tag titles.
Winners: Kevin Nash & Scott Hall
                          Spoiler

Match #5: Vader vs. Andre the Giant vs. Big Show vs. Undertaker
The two giants dominated this one from the start, taking Vader and Taker out of the action early on in the matchup. Then they went to work on each other with Andre gaining the upper-hand and even scoring a near-fall. Vader and Taker would eventually re-insert themselves into the matchup with Vader taking on Andre outside the ring and Big Show and Taker working on the inside. Taker was being overpowered, and an eventual huge legdrop was enough for Big Show to pin him for the 3 count and win the Super-Heavyweight #1 Contender's bracket. He will face the winner of the Heavyweight #1 Contender's bracket next week for a shot at Hogan's title.
                          Winner: Big Show
                          Spoiler

Match #6: Goldberg vs. Ric Flair vs. Sting vs. Warrior
After Goldberg, Sting and Warrior had already entered the matchup, Flair's music played but much to everyone's surprise he rolled in through the back and low-blowed Warrior, putting him at a huge disadvantage to start the matchup. Flair couldn't capitalize though, as Sting and especially Goldberg were too much for him. 'Berg would eventually take control by spearing Sting and Flair, and hitting the Jackhammer on an already brutally damaged Warrior, to score the victory. It'll be Goldberg vs. Big Show in our main event next week to crown a #1 contender for Hogan's title.
                          Winner: Goldberg
                          Spoiler

Match #7: Dean Malenko vs. Brian Pillman vs. Rey Myserio Jr., vs Chavo Guerrero vs. Syxx vs. Ultimo Dragon - Ladder Match
A dirty Chavo Guerrero, took a page out of Ric Flair's book by attacking Rey Mysterio before the match. Luckily for Rey, the beating at ringside would quickly be ceased by the other cruiserweights involved in the matchup. The star of this one was definitely Syxx, who hit several flipping powerbombs off the ladder to prevent wins from Mysterio Jr., Pillman and Ultimo Dragon. However Syxx was never able to capitalize after those powerbombs. Instead, Ultimo Dragon would take advantage of a situation late in the matchup where everyone else was either fighting or downed outside the ring, and scramble up the ladder for the win.
                          Winner: Ultimo Dragon
                          Spoiler
