WWE 2K16 Universe : Best in the World! (Official Thread)

Sports Entertainment, a type of spectacle which presents an ostensibly competitive event using a high level of theatrical flourish and extravagant presentation, with the purpose of entertaining an audience. Unlike typical athletics and games, which are conducted for competition, sportsmanship, exercise or personal recreation, the primary product of sports entertainment is performance for an audience's benefit. What is it about sports entertainment that makes us all watch in disbelief as we see both the heroes and villians clash? Sports Entertainment is no longer an American territorial sports, now there's thousands and thousands promotions across the world, in this Universe we will not only focus on the American super industry known as the World Wrestling Entertainment instead we will also focus on NXT; a WWE developmental mini promotion, Ring of Honor; the highest level of Indy wrestling you can possibly get in the states, and finally New Japan Pro Wrestling; arguably the greatest WRESTLING promotion in the world currently, full of pride and tradition, we will focus on these companies as this is Best In The World!

March 30th 2015 - SAP Arena in San Jose, California

        Raw Opening Video Package!

Hello everyone we are 24 hours removed from a WrestleMania of ages! Tonight in we witness the fallout of that amazing show here in San Jose, California! We are live and sold out at the SAP Arena and were in for an amazing night here on Monday Night Raw!

Brock Lesnar’s w/ Paul Heyman music hits

Michael Cole: If I were Brock Lesnar I would be as steaming mad, Brock last night at WrestleMania was basically cheated out of his title, as Brock had Reigns in a supine position Seth Rollins would make his way to the ring, cash in his money in the bank, turn the match into a triple threat match, and steal the WWE World Heavyweight Championship!

Paul Heyman: Ladies and Gentleman, my name is Paul Heyman! I am the advocate for the beast incarnate BROCK LESNAR!!!!! First off let’s address what happened last night at WrestleMania, my client Brock Lesnar had Roman Reigns beaten and battered before the Authority’s little star pupil Seth Rollins had to come in and steal the title. My client took Brock Lesnar to Suplex City, but yet Seth Rollins had to change everything. Our only words for that slimy little weasel Seth Rollins is words of advice, watch your back kid Brock still has his rematch clause and he is pissed!

Neville’s music hits as he seems to be making his debut match on the main roster!

Match 1 - Luke Harper vs Neville

This was a match full of “Oh my God” moments, one including Luke Harper slamming a groggy Neville through the Barricade! Though this was Neville’s debut match Luke Harper did not go easy on him at all giving the man that gravity forgot two back suplex facebusters and even a discus clothesline!

        Luke Harper defeats Neville

Match 2 - Seth Rollins vs Dolph Ziggler

This match was an amazing one on one match-up between two of the best pure stars in the WWE! Both men continued to trade moves and strikes throughout the match. Seth showed great heel-ish tactics such as cheap shotting Ziggler at every chance and pandering to the crowd at every chance! Dolph also showed great resiliency as well kicking out of both Seth’s Avada Kedavra and Seth’s Curb Stomp! Though Seth ultimately won the match with a Buckle Bomb, had Seth not been near the ropes after Ziggler had hit his Super Kick the match had likely been over for the Champion.

Seth Rollins defeats Dolph Ziggler by pinfall

        Brock Lesnar ambushes the Champion!

After Seth had his hellacious match with Dolph Ziggler with a win, Brock Lesnar ran it to ambush Seth Rollins and attack the Champion! Brock Lesnar looks as if he plans to invoke his rematch clause very soon, if so this would be very bad in the part for Seth!

Match 3 - The Miz and Mizdow vs Heath Slater in a Handicap match

This match started to look as if Heath Slater would get destroyed in this handicap match, however as the match started The Miz tagged in Mizdow and sat in Lillian Garcia’s seat! Damien Mizdow had an impressive showing against Slater nearly defeating him by himself, however once Miz saw that Heath was damaged enough for a quick win the Miz climbed the apron demanded Mizdow to tag in and then hit Slater with a Skull Crushing Finale then pinning Slater for the 1...2...3 all by himself, or so he thinks!

Though Mizdow did most of the work in the match The Miz pinned Heath Slater for the win!

Match 4 - The Bella’s Tamina and Naomi

This was a decent Tag Team match-up, though the Bella’s ended out getting the win Naomi and Tamina looked very strong going up against both a former and the current Diva’s Champion.

The Bella’s defeat Tamina and Naomi

Rusev’s music hits as he makes his way down the isle with Lana

Rusev comes down to the arena to address his recent loss at WrestleMania 31 in where he lost the United States Championship to the one and only John Cena! In the words of Rusev he announces that he will be forgoing, yes that’s right forgoing his potential rematch clause with John Cena for the United States Championship stating that he no longer needs or wants our petty American championship. Rusev also says that he plans to go after bigger and better things soon, very soon! The Question now is what or who will Rusev go after next?

Match 5 - The New Day take on the Prime Time Players

This was a very fun tag team match with Titus O’Neil showing great intensity and doing an array of intensely powerful moves! The Prime Time Players looking to make an impression in their first match back as a team were no match for the new Tag Team champions ultimately losing.

The New Day defeat the Prime Time Players

Highlights from last night's Wrestlemania are shown mainly focused on the main event, there are also sponsors about the WWE Network in the Video Package!

Match 6 - Ryback vs Daniel Bryan

Though Ryback obviously has the size advantage the former World Champion Daniel Bryan looked as if he was a man on a mission to put away the more than self proclaimed “Big Guy”. Surprisingly Ryback had little offense in this one on one match-up and at times it looked as if Daniel Bryan was the “Big Guy”. Overall the match was solid and Daniel Bryan finished Ryback off with the Flying Goat Headbutt.

        Daniel Bryan defeats Ryback

Daniel Bryan offers his hand to Ryback but Ryback slaps it away!

After their solid match together, like the respectful champion Daniel Bryan is he offered to shake Ryback’s hand, however Ryback surprisingly slapped Bryan’s hand away! As of now Ryback is a face but could this be a sign of a potential heel turn?

John Cena makes his way to the ring!

John Cena: Last night I had one of my biggest wins ever, it was win for both myself and for this great country! That’s why tonight this country deserves a title match and I’m going to give you one so the United States Championship John Cena open challenge starts now! if you want some come get some!

Chris Jericho’s music hits, the lights then go dim. Chris Jericho then makes his way down the ramp.

Match 7 - John Cena defeats Chris Jericho for the United States Championship!

This match match was a very back and forth match-up between two future respected first ballot Hall of Famers. As the match began the crowd erupted with Let’s go Cena // Y2J chants! The San Jose loved this match as they should’ve and though Cena hit an early catching Attitude Adjustment Chris Jericho powered out eventually locked Cena up in the Walls of Jericho! Though Jericho looked very strong he did not prevail, ultimately getting caught by an Attitude Adjustment and thus losing the match in one hell of an effort.

John Cena defeats Chris Jericho to retain the United States Championship!

Now this is a big time improvement. The first show tentatively set up some rivalries that look really good. Keep it up, I'm following.

Thanks so much, also all of the matches were watched and summed up except for the Miz/Mandow and Heath Slater match which I played to add some rivalry elements that I couldn't of got in a sim

Guess I'm at a cross roads, on one I want to watch a non-playing sim free back and forth match and write about it but on the other I find it kinda boring to watch the matches but when I play them even on Legendary I easily win and there is nothing to write about, I don't know what to do!!!!

                      March 31st 2015 - Full Sail University

                      NXT Opening Video Package!

Hello everyone and welcome back to Full Sail University in Orlando, Florida! This our the first NXT since WrestleMania 31 and boy do we have a show for you tonight! In our main event we will have Finn Balor take on Hideo Itami in what should be an epic match! Enough talking though let’s get started with the action!

Match 1 - Tyler Breeze vs Baron Corbin

At the beginning of this match Tyler was very cocky as he taunted and mocked Baron Corbin continuously. Throughout the match though Baron Corbin was very dominant allowing Tyler to get little in. During the end Baron Corbin caught a groggy Tyler Breeze with an End of Days which caused Tyler to lose the match.

                      Baron Corbin defeated Tyler Breeze!

Baron Corbin offered to shake Tyler’s hand but Tyler slaps the hand away!

Though both men are heels you can obviously tell that Baron is still a bit respectable, this is why he offered his hand to Tyler Breeze, however Tyler Breeze being the cocky superstar he is he slapped Corbin’s hand away refusing the handshake!

Match 2 - Kevin Owens vs Tyson Kidd

This match was basically a squash match, as soon as the bell hit Kevin Owens ran towards Tyson with full steam and clotheslined him into the corner. The tone for this match was set very early with Kevin Owens dominance taking over everything! Kevin Owens ended the match hitting Tyson Kidd with his signature Pop-Up Powerbomb!

                      Kevin Owens defeated Tyson Kidd

Enzo's and Big Cass' music hits as they walk down to the ring with Carmella

Enzo Amore states that they are demanding a tag team title shot against the reigning NXT Tag Team Champions the Vaudevillians! Enzo and Cass proceed to call them other things and then they call them S-A-W-F-T SAWFT!

William Regal comes out to say that there will be an NXT Tag Team Tournament starting next week with the winners being given an NXT Tag Team Title Shot soon!

The Crowd cheers as both Finn Balor and Hideo Itami make there way to the ring!

Match 3 - Finn Balor vs Hideo Itami

This was a pretty good overall match, as expected from these two. Though there was little drama in the match the match was back in forth and both superstars did well in this match. Though Hideo almost had Finn towards the end the fighter from Ireland powered back and delivered his John Woo corner dropkick ultimately setting up for the Coup De Grace which put Itami away!

Finn Balor defeated Hideo Itami in a back and forth brawl!
