WWE: Rising from the ashes and looking towards the future

After 4 long months of Investigations,
the WWE has been cleared to resume operations

    Monday, April 4, 2016 – Detroit, MI

It’s Monday April 4 and the WWE has new life yet again.

There was no Wrestlemania this year, there hasn’t been any WWE content since December of 2015 when the company decided to abruptly close shop following allegations of misconduct. However, after a lengthy investigation by the FBI, there was no wrong doing found and the company has been cleared to continue operating at 100%.

So what does 4 months away from the game mean? We sat down with the boss, the Chairman and CEO of the WWE and asked him a few questions regarding the future of the company that is beloved by millions.

R: Thank you again Vince for joining me, just a few questions. First off, with no content and no organizational structure for nearly 4 months, what does that mean for the WWE?

VM: Well, nothing technically will change. We have a great talent bed coming back and contracts are contracts. Everyone who was signed on before will be back.

R: So, The Rock, Brock Lesnar…they will all be back?

VM: What did I just say? The new and old superstars will all be back and they're excited and hungry to get back out there.

R: Ok, moving on. What about the titles, what about structure wise, will the same shows be happening?

VM: I am glad you asked about titles and the structure. We have a full list of events and live shows soon. In terms of titles, I have sat down with my team of highly skilled talent motivators and we voted to banish all titles and literally start from scratch. What happened in December tainted the company, my company and I want to start fresh. As I previously said, the titles along with shows will be released soon but I can’t tell you just yet.

R: WOAH! Maybe we will see a hardcore belt come back? And what about talent? There has been a lot of talk about a brand split? What is the deal with that talk?

VM: I can definitely see a hardcore belt back in the loop, but as I said I don’t want to give away anything just yet. In terms of brand splits, there will be a brand split. I am just not going to give any details just yet.

R: Well all this talk regarding now details. Can you at least confirm that the WWE is still the WWE and at least that is not going to be changed? And, when should we expect some more news?

VM: Yes, the WWE will stay the WWE. My family has worked their asses off to get here and I am going to give it up for anything nor anybody. We will be releasing more info in the coming days.

And with that, Mr. McMahon got up and left the broadcast booth. I am still not sure what is going to happen. The only question he really answered is that as of now there are no titles and no champions, he wants the brand(s) to start anew.

Oh, and he also said that the WWE will remain the WWE.
From a cloud of secrecy to a hotbed of excitement, the upcoming weeks for the WWE will be a very exciting time.

The WWE is back baby, it is back!

    Just to note:
*This is a fantasy universe where I will be using superstars from past and present.

BREAKING: Vince McMahon changes mind, says WWE will live on

April 6, 2016 --- In a press release released by the Stamford, Connecticut based company, CEO Vince McMahon said that after many discussions and meaningful dialog with those closest to him, the WWE will not lose its naming rights.

"The WWE was founded by my family generations ago and has fought tougher opponents than the latest allegations that knocked us down but not for long. The WWE will rise again. I don't know what I was thinking, it was foolish of me and I think jackoff reporter caught me in a spot and I said something I shouldn't have. I'll never let go of the WWE, it is my life, it is me."

Mr. McMahon obviously referring to the investigation by the FBI, which results found there was no wrong doing by the WWE.

Further down in the release McMahon stated that the WWE will resume operations on TV, April 18 on RAW. It is what he was quoted next as saying that has gathered the most buzz.

"In my meetings with my advisers, we have come to a conclusion that changes do need to be made. There will be 12 PPVs, and 3 house shows per week. There will be no brand split, but one big brand, that brand, the WWE. This company needs to get back to what made it great, and we will."

The press release did name the Championships (all vacant) which will be up for grabs once the WWE returns April 18 in Philadelphia.

    Those are
    • World Heavyweight Championship
    • Intercontinental Championship
    • United States Championship
    • Hardcore Championship
    • Divas Championship
    • Tag Team Championship

McMahon also said that the talent roster, along with full schedule will be released soon.

So be on the lookout for that. Raw in Philadelphia will be here before we know it.

WWE releases PPV, Live Show schedule

April 8th --- Well it seems the only way WWE communicates now is via press releases.

The latest release announced the new "revamped Pay-Per-View schedule and live show schedule."

Let's start with the PPV schedule. The big ones are back, those being the Royal Rumble, Wrestlemania, Summerslam and Survivor Series.

Also coming back is Extreme Rules, Battleground, Money In The Bank and Night of Champions.

But then a couple of surprises were also added and seem to have been well received. They sure are by this writer. Those events that were newly added to the schedule are The King of the Ring, Bash at the Beach and Halloween Havoc. Below is a list which dates and chronological order.

As you can tell there is no PPV for April as the turnaround would be too quick The PPV schedule will pick up in May with Extreme Rules which will lead into The King of the Ring.
      • May – Extreme Rules (May 29, 2016)
      • June – King of the Ring (June 26, 2016)
      • July – Bash at the Beach (July 24, 2016)
      • August – Summerslam (August 28, 2016)
      • September - Money in the Bank (September 25, 2016)
      • October – Halloween Havoc (October 30, 2016)
      • November – Survivor Series (November 27, 2016)
      • December – Night of Champions (December 18, 2016)
      • January – Royal Rumble (January 27, 2017)
      • February – No Way Out (February 26, 2017)
      • March – Wrestlemania (April 2, 2017)
      • April - Battleground (April 30, 2017)

WWE also announced its live show schedule which will consist of 3 shows per week. Monday Night Raw (8 p.m), Smackdown (8 p.m.) will air every Thursday and then a newly added WWE Superstars program will air on cable on Saturday nights at 7 p.m.

CEO Vince McMahon expressed his excitement in a sentence in the press release. "This is the best schedule WWE has ever had, I firmly believe that. The reason we are able to do and compete so much is the plethora of talent we have on the roster," said McMahon.

That roster which is said to be the best in the history of any wrestling promotion ever is expected to be released soon. I mean it has to be right, the first Raw is right around the corner on the 18th of April.

Even though all of us "fans" know that WWE doesn't have to do ANY advertising to gain back an audience.

By the release that was sent around today, the excitement only builds and builds and builds.

      We can not wait!

Are you just randomly putting dates on things since the game calendar is set to 28 days EVERY month instead of a realistic calendar, which you would think they would have nowadays.

I have my own calendar. Like my World Cup sims, I am using the game to sim the events, not using its calendar or WWE Universe mode.

April 14 --- Today the WWE released its current talent roster including the Divas, active wrestlers and part-timers.

In a press release, WWE Executive Kevin Dunn said that the roster is the deepest and most broad that any professional sporting organization has ever had.

Dunn went deeper into the structural basis saying that WWE is in contract negotiations with even more talented people and the roster will always be an ever-changing dynamic.

With just a few days until the return of Raw, the roster that was released today is nothing short of brilliant and excited.
