      Premier League Match 3

Tottenham are still looking for their first win under Ledley King with 1 point in their first two league matches. Aston Villa have started out on fire, winning both matches scoring 8 goals and only allowing 2. Japhet Tanganga has been given his first start of the year with Toby Alderweierld being rested.

The match got off to a fast start with Harry Kane scoring 49 seconds in from the top of the box. Minutes later Aston Villa responded when Wesley headed one into the ground past Hugo Lloris. Spurs put the pressure on after the Villa goal and were rewarded with a lucky deflection from Dele Alli's shot that put Tom Heaton on his wrong foot as the ball rolled past him.

Dele's shot deflects off the head of a Villa defender into his own net

The second half Tottenham played back, letting Aston Villa control possession around midfield as Spurs protected their lead. Moussa Sissoko subbed on in midfield for another defensive presence but ended up adding a key assist. Sissoko intercetped a pass to start a counter attack, playing the ball through to Lucas Moura who easily finished the one on one chance against Heaton.

Villa would not go away without a fight. Wesley added his second goal with five minutes remaining to make it 3-2 but that would be it for the drama as Spurs saw out the win with ease in the final minutes.

        Premier League Match 4

Ledley King's first London derby as a manager comes at Selhurst Park against Crystal Palace. Palace come into this match unbeaten with a 3-0-0 record, Spurs are 1-1-1 on the season. A 4-4-2 formation for Spurs with Dele Alli getting a rest and Ryan Sessegnon making his first start of the year.

The first half saw little action in either box but one moment of excitement came when Wilfried Zaha was booked for simulation in the Tottenham box. Zaha tried going around Jan Vertoghen who was playing left-back, Vertoghen stuck his foot in causing Zaha to dive. The ref saw clearly the defender touch only the ball and booked Zaha for the incident.

In the second half it was Harry Kane who stepped up with his third goal of the season to give Tottenham a 1-0 lead with less than 20 minutes to play. Sessegnon recorded his first assist in the process, feeding Kane in the box then the striker turned around his defender and struck low into the far corner.

Harry Kane receives the pass and turns in the box before scoring

The win moves Tottenham to 2-1-1 and drops Palace to 3-0-1. Spurs look to make it three straight next facing Brighton at home before going to Camp Nou to face Barcelona.

          Premier League Match 5

Major lineup changes for Spurs in their match against Brighton as Ledley King looks to rest key players before the Barcelona match midweek. Only Dele Alli and Harry Winks start from the usual group of starters with Spurs playing a 4-1-2-3. Brighton come out in a 4-2-3-1 looking for their first league win.

A quiet first half with Brighton controlling more possession and Spurs looking to attack on the counter attack. Tottenham looked happy to sit back and let Brighton pass the ball around midfield for 45 minutes.

The second half Spurs pushed forward and showed intent on the attack. Erik Lamela and Dele Alli led the charge each coming close in the first minutes of the second half. Harry Kane subbed on in the 63rd minute and immediately made an impact.

Kane setup possession holding the ball and his defender off, passing off to Dele in the box. Dele's shot was deflected out to Lamela who connected first time to score.

Minutes later Kane setup a counter attack passing forward to Lamela who served up Steven Bergwijn in the box for Tottenham's second to make it 2-0. Brighton wouldn't go down easy, Aaron Mooy scored a wonderful free-kick to make it 2-1 with 12 minutes to go.

Tottenham held on for the close win and will take a 3 game winning streak down to Barcelona Wednesday night.

              Champions League Group Match 2

Barcelona won their first Champions League match and are on top of the group going into match 2 against Tottenham. Spurs have a fully rested side high on momentum as they look to bounce back from their previous Champions League loss.

The home side strike first with a lucky deflected cross fell kindly to Antoine Griezmann just outside the six yard box. Griezmann chested the ball down and quickly strike a shot past Hugo Lloris before the keeper could reset after the deflection.

Griezmann brings the ball down before scoring the first goal of the match

Spurs fought back to level the score five minutes later, Ben Davies played a perfectly ball into the path of Hueng-min Son down the left side. Son hit a shot first time to beat the keeper to the far post.

Son finishes his chance setup by Davies late in the first half

Less than 10 minutes after Tottenham leveled the score, Griezmann scored his second, this time no luck was needed. The striker took a low, power shot from the edge of the box into the bottom corner.

The second half was a tight contest with Spurs looking to score their second. Tottenham controlled momentum until Leo Messi finally showed up. After a quiet hour, the little magician faked a shot causing Jan Vertoghen to slide in and commit a penalty. Messi stepped up to convert his chance and end all hope for a Tottenham comeback.

"No time to panic, we can still advance.."

Ledley King tried to calm fans down in his Friday press conference after a midweek loss to Barcelona in the Champions League. The loss keeps Spurs in last place in the group after two matches.

"It is only two matches, we were fortunate the other results on Wednesday went our way. A win in our next match and we are right back into the mix of the group. Fans need to remember, we do not need to win the group to advance, beating Barcelona is not our only goal."

Team captain Harry Kane also stressed calm "The match against Barcelona in Spain was difficult but we showed great fight. Not many teams leave there with a win. We have been in situations like this before and come through, this year we still have plenty of time to turn this around."

Big wins in league to move in to the top 4. The loss to Barcelona hurts... Next CL match becomes a must win now!

We need to win both against Olympiakos and at least a point against Lyon to advance is my guess. Hopefully Barcelona do not drop points to those two as well.

You have to time the kick and hit circle to make the wall jump on the free kicks. Otherwise the CPU is automatic with them. On the other hand they don't make hardly any of them if you jump. So there's that.

Thank you! That is really good to know because I thought it was some error or something this year where the CPU was perfect with them.

                          September Review

An undefeated month in the league has led to six Tottenham players being named in the Team of the Month. Most notably is Ryan Sessegnon who is playing the best out of anyone in the squad and has quickly become a key figure in the team.

Sessegnon has been playing left back and left wing, where ever his manager can find a spot to put him in the lineup.

The only downside this month have been the Champions League results. Spurs will have a chance to turn that around with two more UCL matches coming in October.

Tottenham field their most in form XI against Norwich with plans to rest some key players in their upcoming FA Cup match against Birmingham before a midweek Champions League game. Ryan Sessegnon has been Tottenham's best player and gets the start over Ben Davies at left-back. Eric Dier comes in for Harry Winks as the defensive midfielder and Gedson is given a start over Lo Celso.

Harry Kane headlined the first half with a brace to give Spurs a 2-0 lead at the break. The second goal coming off a perfectly executed corner routine, a long ball to the top of the box to Eric Dier who headed it forward to Kane, the striker headed the shot into the ground for the goal.

Kane connects with a powerful header into the dirt for his second goal of the match

Norwich City pulled one back with Oral Hernandez in the 51st minute to setup a tight ending. Spurs were able to put the match away in the 88th minute from Erik Lamela's rebounded goal off a deflected Kane shot.

Lamela ends Norwich City's hope for a comeback with a last minute goal.

My favorite part of PES is controlling a player off the ball. I use this often, letting the CPU control the player on the ball and I will make a run with another player and call for a pass. It makes the game play completely different and makes you build a good team. Lo Celso's passing is incredible in this game.

The only problem is he is still on loan in the game. I tried buying him last window but failed, I will try again in January.
