    Re: StlDucks career mode

A big week for Tottenham with three matches in three different competitions, all considered "must win" games.

Manchester City are unbeaten so far this season and are tempting to pull away from the pack in the Premier League.

      FA Cup Round 2

A rotated side for Tottenham facing Championship side, Birmingham City. A match Troy Parrott would be given a start in but a last minute scratch due to a minor injury will keep him out of this one.

Lucas Moura was the hero with his first hat-trick since that legendary night in Ajax. Moura scored two in the first half and added his third in the 64th minutes to put Spurs up 3-1.

Birmingham scored a second goal in the late minutes of the match but it was too late for a comeback as Spurs survive and advance in the FA Cup.

Yeah, I started my ML before the winter transfer window update. So I have both Lo Celso and Eriksen. They are both amazing passer and it is fun to play with them together.

Great win against Birmingham, but you still got a tough week.

        Good luck!

          UCL Group Match 3

A win for Spurs and they could be tied with three teams in their group on three points depending on the Barcelona v Lyon match also tonight. Spurs lost their first two UCL matches and are coming into this game with a "must win" attitude. Tottenham are starting in a 3-4-3 looking to attack early against Olympiako's 4-2-3-1.

The early attack did not result in a goal for Spurs, a first half with 7 shots and 3 big chances netted 0 goals for the London side. The visitor's tested Hugo Lloris late in the half but the captain kept the match goalless.

The second half saw more action, Harry Kane started the scoring tapping in a rebound from Lucas Moura's shot. Olympiako's responded only minutes later when El Arabi got in front of Davison Sanchez to connect on a low cross.

With the match in the balance, Erik Lamela subbed on in the 79th minute the scored tied 1-1. Ryan Sessegnon, who had another great match, drew a foul in the 85th minute setting up Lamela for a free kick. Lamela's left footed strike cleared the wall and kept the keeper planted as it went into the top left corner.

The win keeps Tottenham's hopes of advancing alive putting them at 3 points with Lyon and Olympiako's in the group.

Great free kick by Lamela! You will have to play really well in the rest of the CL match days to move onto the round of 16!

Lamela stepped up to win possibly the best game I have ever played in a video game. It was intense with close chances by both teams towards the end. You're right, we will need to beat Lyon and Olympiakos to advance is my guess.

                Premier League Match 7

Manchester City travel to Tottenham still unbeaten in league play with 18 points after six matches. Tottenham show a different look with Eric Dier and Moussa Sissoko starting together in midfield to provide a more physical defense against the fast attack of City.

Tottenham's defensive approach worked for 56 minutes until Sergio Aguero stepped up in a big moment and connected on a header to beat Lloris for the games first goal.

Aguero went high with the header as Lloris reacted slowly letting the ball hit the top bar and go in.

Aguero was a pest all game taking 11 of City's 13 shots. Tottenham did well to stop the rest of City's attackers but Aguero was a threat all game and eventually won a penalty in the 86th minute with City up 1-0.

Hugo Lloris guessed right and denied Aguero from the spot to keep Tottenham in the match with less than five minutes remaining.

Spurs came up empty in the end with chances from Lucas Moura and Dele Alli going wide as Tottenham missed their mark all night.

Big words from Tottenham's captain Harry Kane leading up to Spurs match against Chelsea. Tottenham and Chelsea always team up for a close, intense match and this one should be another high pressure meeting.

Chelsea are in 3rd place, two points ahead of Spurs who are currently 5th. Tottenham are in the middle of a crucial schedule run with Chelsea and West Ham coming up.

Tough loss to City. Realistic with Lloris saving an Aguero penalty.

                    Gotta win against Chelsea here.

                      Premier League Match 8

After the close loss to Manchester City, Tottenham face rival Chelsea at The Bridge. Spurs are coming out in a 3-4-3 formation with Dele Alli and Lo Celso as the only two midfielders. Chelsea play a 4-3-3 with Olivier Giroud leading the line.

Spurs started off quick controlling nearly 70% possession in the first 15 minutes eventually leading to the games only first half goal. Lucas Moura cut inside to the edge of the box when Harry Kane received a pass from Dele. Kane flicked the ball into Moura's direction leading to a first time strike for the goal.

The second half started terrible for Spurs, Serge Aurier misplayed a pass straight from the kickoff, giving the ball to Chelsea. Giroud made Spurs pay scoring from the right side of the box bouncing his shot off the post.

Kane almost put Spurs ahead minutes later but was denied with a one handed save by Willy Caballero.

Kane eventually found his goal in the 64th minute. Dele and Lo Celso passed the ball at the edge of the box before Dele played a pass into Kane, the striker turned around his defender and scored a curler from straight on.

Living up to his words before the match, Kane came through for Tottenham giving Chelsea their first loss of the year.

                            Premier League Match 9

Fresh off a victory over Chelsea, it is another London derby for Spurs this time against West Ham United. The last league match of October for Spurs gives them a chance to move up to third place with a victory over the Hammers.

The first half was all Tottenham only allowing two shots and zero on target while taking nine shots and controlling 66% of the ball. West Ham were pleased to go into the break 0-0 after sitting back for most of the half.

A surprise attack from kickoff to start the second half almost put West Ham ahead but Hugo Lloris came up with a diving save on Mark Noble's attempt.

Gedson scored the first goal for Tottenham in the 63rd minute. Ben Davies intercepted a pass at midfield and played a ball through to Gedson who calmly put the ball into the far post around the keeper.

West Ham were more aggressive after falling behind but were not able to break the Spurs back line. In the 92nd minute Atal scored his first Premier League goal to secure the win. West Ham cleared a corner to the edge of the box where Atal hit the volley in a group of defenders. A slight deflection tricked the keeper as the ball rolled the opposite way.

Spurs finish October in third place in the league but still have one match left for the month on Halloween night in Olympiakos.

Honestly beating West Ham is more enjoyable to me than beating Chelsea. Arsenal are obviously the number 1 rival though.
