Re: 2010 Recruiting Thread
Calm down, I'm used to lies being told to recruits.
Pat Patterson was convinced bama had a great spread offense last January, and I don't remember the name of the recruit, but some recruit this year was convinced that bama had a top ten Business Management program.
But the biggest lies off all are the scholly's bama offered last year that have suddenly started turning into greyshirts (e.g. Petey Smith).

Re: 2010 Recruiting Thread
Well FSU not being in his top 5 came as a total shock to the program, but Corey Miller will be working him extremely hard to go to FSU as well as Brandon Willis. The Byrnes coaching staff likes building pipelines, part of the reason, well maybe the only reason 3* DB Justin Bright was in last year's class was to help land Marcus Lattimore, Corey Miller, and Brandon Willis this year.
Negative recruiting is one thing, blatant lies are another. I guess Spurrier needs to be a piece of **** to have any hope of ever being more than a fourth rate program in the SEC East.Comment

If a player doesn't feel the 'vibe' with the players I doubt he feels comfortable there. And considering that is the most important factor in choosing a school he might've made a wise decision for himself.
Not every school is perfect for every player, he visited and didn't like it that much apparently. It happens.Last edited by auburntigersfan; 08-06-2009, 04:38 PM.WUSTLComment

Some news from the state of Michigan
William Gholston shot down the rumors of him decommiting from MSU, saying that he was misinterpreted. He said that he was listing the schools he would visit IF he was taking all five visits.
Dior Matis listed his top three as Oregon, Michigan St., and Tennessee. Personally, from what I seen, he is not as good as people say, but I haven't seen him up close since last summer at our 7on7'sLions, Tigers, Pistons, Michigan

Not sure about Mathis, MSU may already have the best CB in the state in Hicks. Hoepfully Mathis commits. He's got offers from other good programs, so I am going to assume he is a decent player.Chalepa Ta Kala.....Comment

Re: 2010 Recruiting Thread
Storm Johnson decommitted from LSU.
Basically LSU wanted him to remain silent as to not dissuade Lache.
Kind of a sleazy move, especially when Lache welcomes competition. No matter where he goes there are going to be other top rb prospects there.Last edited by auburntigersfan; 08-08-2009, 04:14 PM.WUSTLComment

Re: 2010 Recruiting Thread
ATH Victor Beasley turns down Alabama and chooses Clemson. I was hoping to see this guy in Crimson, but you can't get em' all. Interesting quote though from Beasley:
"I believe Alabama had a commitment program*" "I know they turned down Ladarius Owens and I didn't want them to turn me down. I didn't want to take that chance. In the end I knew Clemson was the right place for me. I love Clemson and its the only place for me."PS: You guys are great.
