Yeah there was a really unimpressive video of him practicing with what looked like a JV squad up on Youtube. They took it down today though. Yet another diamond in the rough.

Yes, Auburn won out against the likes of So Miss, Troy and USA. Jake Holland's dad likes him so yeah, he must be impressive. Hell of a steal indeed.
He didn't have any tape from last year, but every team that visited his school and looked at him offered.
Karlos Dansby anyone?
BTW, I saw the video. Looked like a legit hs team to me, not a powerhouse, but some of those guys looked way too big for jv. Also you have to keep in mind that Delaine is 6'5'' 230lb. It would be expected for him to dwarf hs football players.Last edited by auburntigersfan; 08-19-2009, 09:41 PM.WUSTLComment

It's okay to say that he "might be a steal." Actually trying to justify him as anything but a long shot is terrible homerism.

He could put on some weight, but he should be pretty skinny at that weight.Last edited by Cebby; 08-19-2009, 09:48 PM.Comment

Re: 2010 Recruiting Thread
At my school and the 3a schools we play receivers are definitely not 6'5'' 220, when we camped at Jenks (big time 6a school, continually ranked high nationally) their receivers were pretty much 6' 180 or so, give or take an inch or two and twenty pounds. They had one real good receiver who was 6'1'' 200 and he was bulked up, he's committed to OU.
230 isn't necessarily 'tiny' for a hs lineman, in the top classification it might be a bit below average, but for anyone playing line for a 4a or 3a school, 230 is a fine weight.
You must've played for a powerhouse school, and obviously don't have any understanding of the size of players for an average sized school. Tell me a school where a 6'6'' 230 lb player wouldn't stand WAY out. Seriously, I don't think you have any idea of what your talking about here. In hs all of you receivers were 6'5'' 220, get real Cebby.WUSTLComment

Re: 2010 Recruiting Thread
ATF, it really depends on the location. For example, we never had huge WR's on my team. Our biggest while I was there may have been 6'4 180 and then a guy who was 6'2 190. Both were track stars and only played football because they had elite speed. They were deadly on special teams but never really made an impact at WR.
However we were huge in the trenches and our LB's were as well. We had small DB's but we also had small WR's. Didn't really hurt us since the only team who didn't run the ball less than 70% of the time was Hoover. And we only played them 3 times while I was at TCHS and we went 1-2.Twitter

FSU picks up commitment #12 from unknown DT Cameron Erving out of Moultrie, GA, his only other offer was from Georgia Southern. Either the coaching staff did its homework and this is a diamond in the rough or he has severe grade problems or this is a WTF are you doing with only 23 scholarships this year!Comment

FSU picks up commitment #13 from 3* LB Nigel Terrell from Pelham, AL. He chose FSU over Ole Miss and had offers from Auburn, West Virginia, Arkansas and various others. This will give FSU three LB's named Nigel.Comment

Re: 2010 Recruiting Thread
Wow looks like a lot of FSU leans shot up the rankings this time around. Looking at that list I would look for FSU to sign:
LaMarcus Joyner
Corey Miller
Christian Jones
Christian Green
FSU has a chance with:
Jeff Luc
Cody Riggs
Terrence Mitchell
Corey LemonierComment

It's not so much on Sims as it is on Gardner and Heaps. They both showed out at the Elite 11 camps to help their stock big time.Twitter
