He had some little injuries during camp so he didn't get it going like he wanted to start off. He has been playing special teams this year and has actually done a pretty good job, especially on the punt team. He's also seen some garbage time in a few games. He's shown enough for me to not be too worried about the position.

I think he'll probably start next year; if Kareem leaves I'm sure he will. Either way he should be a mainstay in the secondary in his sophomore year.

Antonio Goodwin opens up his commitment. Georgia looks like a major player in this one.

He's done ok on special teams work.

I expect him to start next year with the loss of Arenas and Johnson. BJ Scott, who is redshirting this year to learn the corner position, will start as well.

I expect our starting secondary to be Kirkpatrick, Scott, Barron, and Green.

Saban isn't too keen on starting true freshman in the secondary, at all. Kareem Jackson in '07 was an anomaly.

His entire family is pushing HARD for him to stay close to home and go to UGA, as are his coaches. Trooper is countering with the full court press for AU, but in the end, I expect the family pressure to be the difference.

I think he'll end up being a Dawg.

              Curtis Luper on Birmingham Radio....

"So Coach, should Auburn fans expect any big recruiting news soon?"

              Luper-"Oh yeah...big time...big time."

              "Really? So can you elaborate?"

Luper-"Uhh....I don't know if it will happen this week or next week, but definitely before Christmas. And I'd call this young man a big time player."

              On the same call....

"So coach, I know you can't talk specific players, but who are you guys looking to close out with?"

Luper-"At least another LB, another running back, some offensive linemen, another running back, some DBs...did I mention another running back?"

The Coaching staff hasn't backed off their statement that they are VERY confident they will land at least 2 of the top 3 Running Backs in the nation. Could be Lattimore, could be Seastrunk.

The whole Seastrunk situation seems kind of eerie. He's been pretty quiet about Auburn for a long time, but he is visiting for sure in January I believe.

                    Re: 2010 Recruiting Thread

FSU picked up another big time commitment for 2011 from RB Eric Beverly of First Coast HS in Jacksonville. the same HS FSU has gotten Jermaine Thomas, Nigel Carr, Avis Commack and 2010 commitment Tavaris Barnes from. Beverly projects to be one of the top RB's in Florida in 2011 and as such I would guess is a minimum of a 4* rating.

Scout 3* DE Adrian Hubbard commits to Alabama. He's listed in the ESPN 150 (79). He's a kid on the rise, but he might be a little bit of a project at 6'7", 227. He could end up on the line but it's more likely he'll be a linebacker.

                          Dear Bama,

I don't care what you have to do, bagman, suspicious job given to someone close to him, sniper on his coach/mouthpiece, etc, but please take Will Gholston away. Thanks.

I wish he would switch it up and commit to Alabama, he was high on the wish list early. He looks like he is going to be a beast. Nick Saban needs to go home with Ingram for Christmas so they can both have a talk with him.

Honestly, it would probably take my sniper idea to get him away from Michigan State.

I mean, I would like him to play for MSU, but I would rather see him in an Alabama jersey than a green one.
