Re: 2010 Recruiting Thread
On a completely unrelated note....
I'll be leaving for Tampa in the morning to go see Auburn play in the Outback Bowl on Jan. 1. Then, on Jan 2., I'll be going to the Under Armor All American game and get a chance to see a bunch of the top HS seniors play.
Anyone have any particular recruit they are interested in? I'll be sure to post some thoughts on them.AUBURN TIGERS

Re: 2010 Recruiting Thread
Unranked FSU commitment DT Cameron Erving was named to the All State team in Georgia by the AP and Honorable Mention by the AJC.
So this kid can play, but I guess the bigger question is how the hell can a player get these honors in a state like Georgia (this isn't Vermont here) and not be rated at all by Rivals.com?Comment

1. He didn't attend any camps
2. No film has been sent in to be evaluated
That kid who threw 91 TD's in a season 2 years ago didn't get his rating until a few weeks beforing signing day because his coaches were slow in getting out film.Last edited by yankeesgiants; 12-29-2009, 08:01 PM.I dont remember there names but they were allot of fun....Comment

Re: 2010 Recruiting Thread
Obviously if a guy throws a bunch of interceptions or fumbles a lot, there's probably a problem, but Division 3 and intramural fields are filled with All State players with 2,000 yards rushing, 20 TD reception, 40 touchdowns passing, or 200 tackles (not all the same player; that would be impressive).Comment

So who is your school expecting to close with?
For FSU I have to believe there is a decent chance the following are Noles on NSD:
Matt Elam
Christian Jones
Christian Green
Kenny Shaw
Terrence Mitchell
Gio Bernard
Cody Riggs
Charles Deas
I am certainly not saying all of them but most of them. Something is brewing with Matt Elam and with Eddie Gran on board for the stretch run I really think FSU can pull him in.
I would also expect to lose some commitments, namely
LB Nigel Terrell
DT Damien Jacobs
LB Telvin Smith
A secondary with Greg Reid and LaMarcus Joyner is scary enough, imagine adding Matt Elam to that?Comment

Re: 2010 Recruiting Thread
Thanks for the update Nole. These kids wouldn't even sniff Louisville if Coach Kragthorpe was still at the helm. It's amazing to me to see what Coach Strong has been able to do with recruiting in just a few short weeks on the job. And to think he's only working "part-time" for Louisville right now, imagine what he could potentially do when he's at it full-time. As a fan, I'm just happy to be able to have hope again.Comment

Re: 2010 Recruiting Thread
I like the idea of Bama keeping him away from Florida, the kid is a baller. The more Muck kids you can get the better for any program.

Nigel Terrell is probably the most likely to head elsewhere. Though I wouldn't be surprised to see Jacobs decommit.Comment
