Re: 2010 Recruiting Thread
Just got home from Tampa.
Long 9 hour drive home.
I'll post some pics from the Under Armor game tomorrow.
Met Cody Parkey's dad (he actually gave me my ticket to the game for free) and met Eric Mack's family.
According to Mack's family, Eric will not be a South Carolina Gamecock, he'll be an Auburn Tiger.AUBURN TIGERS

Re: 2010 Recruiting Thread
Thank God we play Auburn the next two years and not when all these recruits they are getting are ready. I hate seeing kids go out of state but Mack was wavering even before USC OL coach left.
Cann was looking at yall too, what happened to that?
Can yall tell me some stuff about DJ Howard. Is he a RB or S? Have yall cooled on him or is he looking around?Comment

Re: 2010 Recruiting Thread
Auburn should be set at running back with Dyer and Lattimore/Seastrunk, but Howard really wants to play running back. I think it comes down to how much he wants to play running back and what other commits Auburn is looking at (as in if we can get four more 4*+ players, I think Auburn lets him walk without much argument, but if not, I think he stays at Auburn).Comment

Re: 2010 Recruiting Thread
I honestly cant figure out why Clemson is trying to pull this guy at RB. They have Andre Ellington, Jamie Harper(big disaster if you ask me), Hot Rod McDowell, 2011 RB Marlin Lane out of FLA and another RB we are good wit but his name escapes me. We also have RB Buice out of ALA. Heard Auburn offered him but to play LB. I actually like him even though the recruiting services seem to not. Now I realize 2011 is far from over but still.
I think we want him as a S just for depth purposes but who knows. I have to dig for information because Clemsons Rivals site is pretty bad and Scout is terrible to me all together. The damn Main-Board.com broke three commits this summer a week before the Tiger sites did.
What ya think about Cann? He was looking at Auburn at one time.Comment

Re: 2010 Recruiting Thread
DJ Howard is a very good rb, but realistically will not have much of an opportunity to play that position at Auburn. Chizik really likes his lower body build, and wants him at safety, but in his heart Howard really wants to play rb. Howard has been told he might be able to play the type of role that CJ Spiller did, so of course he is very interested.
Someone might look at our list of commits and think that DJ isn't that big of deal, but I would really like to see him sign with AU. He is a very good athlete, just watch his film.
If he signs with Clemson or Kentucky to play running back I wouldn't really have any harsh feelings just because if Auburn can't offer him the opportunity at running back that other schools can.
If he signs with Clemson he'll be thought of as 'one that got away' by fans in the state of Alabama in a few years IMO.WUSTLComment

Re: 2010 Recruiting Thread
That's a weird situation with Howard. Personally I think he should go the mid-major route. He could do some things at a Southern Miss or a Central Florida.
With Fulton committing to Alabama, this is one of the best secondary classes I've ever seen anywhere. Keenan Allen, DeMarcus Milliner, John Fulton, and Nick Perry. Wow.
Didn't include Jarrick Williams because he's likely going to play the SAM at Alabama.Twitter

Re: 2010 Recruiting Thread
According to you he would have most likely gotten an offer from bammer had he decided to go to an Alabama camp instead of committing to Auburn.WUSTLComment
