Don't talk to me like I'm a fool. You know exactly what you're doing. It's a political comment, you know it's a political comment, it's against the rules here, and don't insult my intelligence by feigning ignorance. You want to mention leeway? How many times have you used that same "ESPN = Fox News" bull**** line? How many times has someone told you to stop it? Exactly. You've been given leeway, which apparently was a mistake because it apparently instilled the thought that it was okay to say. It isn't. So give it a rest.

For phony stuff. Do we want to go down this road? Do we want to air this stuff publicly? Cause I'll be more than happy to do so. But I've been just as happy to forget about it. I'm trying to be a good citizen. But I get ticked off at the hypocrisy. & I hate being publicly chastised for something I didn't do. Like I said, show me where I violated the TOS. If you don't want FoxNews mentioned, then put it in the TOS. "Don't mention FoxNews". But just mentioning them & criticizing their reporting is no different than mentioning SportsCenter & their reporting. TMZ, wiki, or any other source of information.

The main point is that ESPN is a joke. Fox News was a frame of reference.

Attacking a joke news organization doesn't mean I'm espousing a political point of view. I could have just as easily pointed out MSNBC (which I probably should have for the sake of political balance).

Back on topic. I really wonder how much air this firing/story would have received had the player been "Adam Smith" instead of Adam James. The James' family affiliation with ESPN may have too much to do with how this story is being portrayed.

I don't buy the Texas Tech employees stories now that their jobs and/or licenses are on the line.

I don't know why, but I side with Leach for whatever reason. I know he had his chance to stick around and make this situation better, but TTU administration was financially motivated.

Craig James deserves whatever heckling he gets now for the rest of his broadcasting career.

Why were the affidavits not signed when they were given? Likely they weren't their own words?

To everyone that keeps saying they didn't follow the procedures for a concussion, the doctor sent him back to practice. Adam was cleared to be there, nothing about having to go inside, sitting down, etc. Leach was pissed because the baby showed up late, didn't care, etc. Leach said fine, your eyes need to be shaded, go in the dark garage. No were did Leach make him do anything he shouldn't have done. Yes Adam had a mild concussion, but I bet most real players would have been out there practicing by them self, lifting, running, etc.

Hard to say because there is only one 24 hour sports news network. I'll say that administrations from coast to coast reviewed all policy after this story from Kentucky http://www.cnn.com/2009/CRIME/01/26/...ted/index.html

                                What actually happened is irrelevant.

All that matters is that ESPN owns probably 90% of the mainstream college football media and they're protecting their own interests.

Stalin himself would be amazed at the efficiency ESPN has shown in running a show trial.
