Re: Mike Leach fired
I drove to work this morning, and they were absolutely killing Leach. Got to work, listened to WFAN for a bit, ate breakfast, then they started talking hockey. So I looked for something else to listen to, and on ESPN, almost an hour and 30 minutes later, they WERE STILL killing him. It's like they're trying to destroy this dude's career.Comment

Craig James is part of the reason SMU got the death penalty, so you know what kind of family this is. Just back to their old ways.Comment

Re: Mike Leach fired
Pretty sure I had a dream where Leach did this to discipline his players regularly in an actual shed...and the community of Lubbock actually applauded it.

Re: Mike Leach fired
I still cant get over a guy losing his job for putting a player in "Timeout". Anyways Texas Tech lost and some schools gain. I would gladly take Leach over Les Miles anyday. You looking at the Chair MAN!

Re: Mike Leach fired
Les Miles is a terrible coach. Its like they gave the keys to a Bugatti Veyron to a teen with a learner permit.
Leach took a program that sucked and made it into a threat. Just count the number of NFL WR's LSU has had over the past 6 or 7 years. In Leach's system LSU would be unstoppable. You looking at the Chair MAN!

But really, I don't want to totally abandon the run. I'd settle for a Dan Mullens type spread.Last edited by Watson; 12-31-2009, 12:33 PM.And may thy spirit live in us, Forever LSU

Re: Mike Leach fired
I think there is a huge misconception that Leach never runs the football. I think he hardly has a RB worthy of running with. When he has had good RB's in the past he has run the ball. Any good coach tailors his system to his talent. You looking at the Chair MAN!

Re: Mike Leach fired
Texas Tech had 2 HBs over 700+ yards rushing in the '08 season, no surprise that is was his best season at Tech. when Tech had the "other" Ricky Williams, they used him a lot too.Comment

Re: Mike Leach fired
His highest seasons in rushing yards are 1532, 1391, and 1333.
His best years ever would rank 7th, 13th, and 18th this year.
If they were a single player.
Only 18 teams this year ran for fewer yards than Leach's third best team ran for. His best year would rank in the mid 80s this year.
He doesn't croot backs and he doesn't use the ones he has.
His "good" season for running the football was good for 88th in the country in yards against defenses that could at best be considered craptastical.Last edited by Cebby; 12-31-2009, 01:25 PM.Comment
