Leach overruled him.
Dana Holgerson, now at UH. Adam is not a D-1 FBS player, and Solidice is right, if it wasn't for Leach's generosity and maybe Adam's daddy, James wouldn't be at this level.

The only reason Adam played is because he was a TE type with his size.

Dont forget they had the "other" Ricky Williams and Bam Morris as RB's well.
I dont remember there names but they were allot of fun....

I did forget about them, I loved Bam Morris back in the day. He'd be brutal in NCAA 10 that is for sure.

For Leach he'd get to know Florida better, for FSU they bring in a genius for Fisher to learn from.

I know FSU is too cheap to spend the money and Leach's ego is too big to be an OC, but I can dream. I actually said I'd rather have had Mike Leach at FSU over Fisher if FSU hired an established HBC. I standby that now too.
Fisher has said that he will call the plays and Coley will be the OC.

It also doesn't make sense for a school to bring in a former HC as a coordinator for the new HC to learn from. Florida State already had a problem with too many cooks in the kitchen. They don't want to go down that road again.

Okay, what would you say to an advisor role like Terry Bowden a couple years ago. This man is an offensive genius, who FWIW offered Christian Ponder a scholarship back in 2006.

I would imagine most schools would see this as a non-issue to hire him but would mean he's starting with strike one on the board.

Baylor fans are worried about losing Briles to TTU.

Would be funny if Tech snatched Briles and Baylor hired Leach.

I think enough schools have seen what he can do with an offense to warrant giving him a chance. Especially if it's shown that he wasn't guilty of any wrongdoing.

The extent of Terry Bowden's involvement with Florida State a few years ago was recommending Jimbo Fisher.

Also, offense isn't the problem for Florida State. So bringing in Leach wouldn't make much sense. And again, even in an advisor role, I doubt Jimbo would want someone around that might mess up the chain of command.
