College football recruiting -- Stephen Weatherford is last in long line of talented brothers - ESPN

Looks like there is another Weatherford brother this year....supposedly he is the best one yet, but well in all due respect that isn't saying a lot (although Drew was an Elite 11 QB in 2004). He has offers from South Florida (who offers everybody!) and Vanderbilt. He is hoping for an offer from Miami, who according to this article is his favorite team.

To the best of my knowledge FSU has no interest.

Might not get the offer(s) he's hoping for now.

To be honest, I was actually impressed with Drew. He got a raw deal at FSU...just happened to be there when there was no coaching. No doubt Ponder is better, but Weatherford wasn't a slouch.

          Re: 2011 Recruiting Thread

He was a warrior on the field who never gave anything but his all, I won't deny that. Honestly he never recovered from a knee injury he had in HS that completely changed the type of QB that he had been prior. I think one day he will make a great coach and the way he handled losing his job to Ponder was pure class.

That said out of the QBs who started during the 00's at FSU I'd him here...

          Chris Weinke (2000)
          Christian Ponder (2007-2010)
          Chris Rix (2001-2004)
          Adrian McPherson (2002)
          Wyatt Sexton (2004)
          Drew Weatherford (2005-2009)
          Fabian Walker (2002)
          Xavier Lee (2005-2008)

FSU picks up commitment #12 from likely 4-5* DT Lonnie Gosha. He had offers from Alabama, Florida, and Georgia amongst others. This class is flat out amazing......

He'll be at A-Day. Odd to see he's already committed.

Lol, unless this is an April Fool's joke, that was fast.

                    Lonnie Gosha reopens recruitment.

Didn't realize Zow was his head coach. I guess that's our connection. Well...other than having the top defensive staff in the south.

I don't blame him. It's an easy decision when you're weighing other options like Ball State, Akron and Toledo.

                            Speaking of Alabama..

Hasean Clinton-Dix hopefully commits to Alabama at A-day. He's a Mark Barron type at safety. He's probably a fringe 5-star on Rivals.

I believe he and Dee Hart are announcing together, they're just waiting for Hart to visit Michigan first. After the Bama visit he said he "may be converted" but still has no leader.

                              May be converted

There was a solid amount of B10/Big East schools waiting on his ACT score before they were gonna offer.
