My goodness. I really thought he would stick around and be the hometown hero. If he does choose to go, it's probably a good thing we've got Bridgewater in the fold.A negative mind will never give you a positive life.

Congrats man. You called it earlier.
I think ever since Meyer left, he did a turnaround and looked hard at Knoxville. Some still thought he would be a Gator, but I guess not.
Tomorrow should be a fun day even though Florida might not have the biggest close in recent years. Not expected with first year coach and staff on the job. You never know though!"Hard work beats talent, when talent isn't working hard.”Comment

Re: 2011 Recruiting Thread
The commitment of Bridgwater combined with Smith not getting into Louisville in January has lead to this consideration of UCF from what I've heard. I don't see how UCF is a better situation since they had a freshman QB start for them this past season. I really hope Smith stays with the Cards but if he's afraid of the competition with Bridgewater then I guess it wouldn't be the biggest loss.I've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!

Re: 2011 Recruiting Thread
Yes, the Auburn coaches told Calloway to commit to Auburn on national television without consulting his guardian or the bammer coaches.
If anything I'd say it would be more sad for a father to not allow for his child to go a school where he wanted to go, and had earned a scholarship at than for a father to let his son break a non binding commitment.
I don't know exactly how it went down, but if Brent really wants to go to Auburn, and Brent has earned a full scholarship to attend school there it's pretty sad of his parents to not allow him to there.
Barners should just keep quiet about fathers doing questionable things during the recruitment of their sons. No one is sadder than Cecil. Let's not forget Frazier's dad acting as a source to get the farmhouse faithful in a tizzy.
Also, I don't know what in the world would make Auburn "feel good" about getting Cyrus, but since when did it take anything other than lip service for AA to start thinking virtual lock?Last edited by trobinson97; 02-01-2011, 11:59 PM.PS: You guys are great.

I also missed my Cyrus is a lock for AU post. But I'm sure it's in here somewhere. But it's all good homie. We can't hope to beat out Bama for a high profile recruit. Never happens.AUBURN TIGERS

Most of AU's targets are committing in the AM so at least the suspense will be over early. I think Cyrus is announcing at 11.AUBURN TIGERS
