Baylor apparently got a commitment from Scout's #12 running back, Brandon Williams.

Re: 2011 Recruiting Thread
Alabama just offered Saginaw(MI) WR DeAnthony Arnett. His offer list is now: Alabama, USC, Notre Dame, Michigan, Oregon, Michigan State, Tennessee, Wisconsin, Purdue, Cincinatti, and Iowa. Pretty impressive list.
Also love this quote from him..
"I am not interested in playing for an offense that has a rinky-dink offense that is going to throw a bunch of five yard passes."
He's one to watch for Alabama since his HS coach was none other than Mark Ingram's coach at Flint. And Arnett has family in Alabama..Twitter

Re: 2011 Recruiting Thread
Auburn has extended scholly offers to Columbus, GA RB Isaiah Crowell and San Antonio, TX RB Aaron Green. AU once again aiming for THE top backs in America, which is a welcome sign with this staff.
Crowell is in our backyard but I think Green could be a legit option with Luper's Texas connections.

Despite what he's saying publically, his recruitment is over if Michigan's passing game shows a pulse this year. He grew up a big UM fan.Comment

I expect AU to be a player for these guys as well. Columbus is a big AU city as well (only 30 miles from campus). Should be interesting.AUBURN TIGERS

In regards to Green, I'm pretty sure his brother is a freshman DB for Nebraska.Comment

It's gonna be real tough for anyone to get Crowell from UGA, but I guess our coaches will give us the best opportunity possible.WUSTLComment

You also have to add that they will jump up big time if they use Devin a lot (hopefully, they don't play Devin just to get DeAnthony).Lions, Tigers, Pistons, Michigan

Re: 2011 Recruiting Thread
They won't, it'll just be an added benefit.
(And for the record, I have said all along that Gardner is going to play. Won't start, but he brings things to the table that Tate doesn't.)
The main thing with Arnett as far as Michigan is concerned is: a) winning, and b) getting it to the wideouts more. Roundtree really came on the second half of last year, really clicked with Tate. That should continue. And if the OL improves the pass blocking, I bet Stonum has a big year as well. Outsiders assume RR wants the WRs to just be glorified blockers - couldn't be further from the truth.Last edited by Psyblast; 02-15-2010, 11:37 PM.Comment

Re: 2011 Recruiting Thread
Yeah, if Michigan gets back to winning, Arnett is probably going to A2, but if not I easily see him going out to the west coast for USC, Notre Dame, and if they can keep the winning up, Cincinatti.Lions, Tigers, Pistons, Michigan
