Missouri QB Tyler Gabbert to transfer. Younger brother of Blaine Gabbert to leave Missouri. No word yet on where he's headed.

N'Western RB Arby Fields to transfer to LSU

Apparently his football talent belongs at Nortwestern, but his baseball talent belongs to LSU.

                Can't hurt to have him.

                    Forcier lasted long

Former Michigan quarterback Tate Forcier, who was expected to transfer to Miami, will not join the Hurricanes because of personal reasons, a source close to the situation told ESPN.com on Friday.

As of Jan. 1, Miami will have two scholarship quarterbacks on its roster in Stephen Morris and incoming transfer Ryan Williams.

Miami announced in February that Forcier had signed an Aid Agreement and planned to transfer, but he has not been on campus since he first visited the program.

As a freshman in 2009, Forcier started all 12 games and completed 165 of 281 passes for 2,050 yards and 13 touchdowns.

This past season, Forcier appeared in eight games as a backup and completed 54 of 84 passes for 597 yards with four touchdowns and four interceptions.

Ohio State LB Dorian Bell to Pitt

Bucknuts.com reports that Dorian Bell will leave the Ohio State program and enroll at PIttsburgh. Bell must sit out one year due to NCAA transfer rules, but his team suspension will not follow him.

This closes the chapter on Bell, a former five star prospect who arrived in Columbus with high expectations. Repeated violations of team rules stunted Bell's growth as a player, however, and he will leave Ohio State with much less fanfare than when he arrived.

                        Janoris Jenkins to North Alabama

Dismissed Florida Gators CB Janoris Jenkins is transferring to play for the North Alabama Lions, according to JBScouting.com's Josh Buchanan. I'm not familiar with that particular outfit, but it's good enough for Mocking The Draftand is thus good enough for me.

UNA is a booming, transfer-hoarding Division II program in Florence that plays in the Gulf South Conference, coached by Terry Bowden. Yes, that Terry Bowden! In Bowden's two years on the job, the Lions have reached the playoffs, making it as far as the national quarterfinal after a conference title, and have their sights set on a Division I jump.

As MTD notes, North Alabama hasn't sent a player to the NFL Draft since 1999. All Jenkins will have to do to break that streak will be to stay far, far away from trouble, stay in shape, and be by far the best player on the field in every game this season.
