Lol, somehow I think Bama will manage to survive and find another stud OT.

And who knows, anything can happen. He's said he might swing down south to visit some schools, but he's in town this weekend with his friend Tom Strobel (4* UM DE commit), there was a poster last night on UM's free Scout board claiming to know Kyle personally and basically said flatout that Kalis will be committing on Saturday, and Kalis friended about a dozen UM recruits/players on Facebook last night (no, I do not FB stalk recruits, I just wait for other, creepier UM fans to do it ).

So all in all, tons of momentum for UM headed into the weekend. Could see Kalis and Chris Wormley both commit.

Florida signs highly-touted kicker, Austin Hardin from Georgia...

Yeah, yeah. He is a kicker, but the kid can boot it!

This class needs to be huge because the roster is pretty light at UF right now with only 73 scholarship athletes.

Oh, and Hoke isn't playing around on the recruiting trails!!

Rutgers is most likely going to get a steal in Chris Muller with PSU cooling on him because he wouldn't pull the trigger right away and now they have gone looking elsewhere.

Hoke and and this staff have been lights out so far on the recruiting trail. I can see why Urban Meyer said that Greg Mattison is one of the best recruiters in the country. This whole staff has been great. After every visit these kids are raving about the staff and how personable these guys are.

Anyways Michigan should have a good shot at 4* OL Blake Bars out of Nashville,TN. He just visited Michigan this week and loved the staff and the campus. His dad was from Michigan and he still has family up there. He plans on deciding sometime within the next week.

They seem deadset on taking a QB and a fullback in this class, and while I know you like to take a QB every year and the fullback is returning to our offense and will be needed, having to turn down Ondre Pipkins or Danny O'Brien because we want a fullback would be ridiculous.

Ideally, with 10 spots left, Michigan's finish would be:

            1. OT Kyle Kalis
            2. DE Chris Wormley
            3. S Jarrod Wilson
            4. OT Jordan Diamond
            5. DT Ondre Pipkins
            6. DT Danny O'Brien
            7. DE Adolphus Washington
            8. WR Dwayne Stanford
            9. RB Bri'onte Dunn
            10. WR Aaron Burbridge

Now obviously, reeling in all 10 of those guys isn't a realistic goal at this point, but sacrificing one of these players for a fullback or some 3* project QB would be a travesty.
It sounds more and more that they won`t take a QB unless it`s Kiel or Mauk. I don`t think the odds are very good at all with getting one of the two. The staff does however seem pretty set on taking a fullback in this class.

It will be interesting to see we end up with for the final 10 spots. It very well could be 8 after this weekend if Kalis and Wormley commit. It looks like Wormley will probably make it 9 this weekend. Wilson also may announce soon.

Any Michigan fan can tell you that kickers are very important. Man, these last couple years have sucked.

And supposedly Hoke is, according to Dave Biddle, 'Negatively recruiting the hell out of OSU', and telling guys "He's telling these guys that OSU will get hit harder than USC and they "shouldn't fall for the same (stuff) Lane Kiffen sold all those SC recruits."

What a reversal, after being shunned by PSU, 4* OT Chris Muller gives his verbal to Rutgers a couple days later.

This is the start of what can be a monster class, we already lead for Darius Hamilton, Carroo, and Shumate.

Muller is a huge get for us.

Ryan Brodie is also on campus tonight, and odds are he might give us a verbal as well. He is very high on RU which has cooled a lot of other schools on going after him, but to get both of them would bookend our OL for the next 3-5 years.

Not much of a surprise there. As a Michigan fan I would be upset if he wasn't talking to recruits about the OSU situation.

Oh, I agree, its a smart thing to do... but what happens if/when OSU doesn't get hammered by the NCAA? His credibility will take a bit of a hit, imo.

But then again, we're talking about the credibility of CFB coaches, when has that ever really mattered lol

Massachusetts OT Eric Olson goes off the board, commits to Northwestern.

Tre Keenan, Chris Muller and now Olson all dropping in the last couple days. Seems like Michigan's coaches are confident in landing some bigger fish and didn't feel the need to push for the backup plans...
