I was just messing around on the dream title game part. I hate Boise as well. The hype they get on a yearly basis sickens me...join the Pac 12, win that and go undefeated, then you earn my respect boys. I do happen to like TCU though, not sure why.
So Boise St has to go undefeated in a BCS conference just to earn your respect. Such high standards you have.

If Russell Wilson pans out, which is more likely than not, you gotta have Wisconsin in the discussion. Could be a year where you have the SEC champion, Oklahoma, Wisconsin, and a non-BCS all undefeated. Then what do you do?

Oklahoma is likely to be preseason #1, with Bama and LSU both in the preseason top 5, so if one of those is the undefeated SEC champ, there's your BCS title game. Actually, any undefeated SEC champ will likely get the benefit of the doubt and be in the game, so it could be Vandy and it wouldn't matter.

Which would give the anti-BCS group even more fuel

I think if it's a Bama or LSU they get in over Wisconsin and the Non-BCS but I can't see Vandy or just any SEC team getting in over Wisconsin.

It would certainly be an interesting debate. Should the champion from a conference that's won 5 straight BCS titles be in no matter what if they're undefeated?

I don't necessarily believe that, but this will be the big question if the undefeated SEC Champion is Kentucky, Vandy, Miss St., Ole Miss, Tennessee, and possibly Georgia or South Carolina

Imo it depends how Vandy does it. Are they all of a sudden that good or does the SEC fall off and lose a lot of OOC games?

If an SEC champ, Oklahoma, Wisconsin and a non-AQ go undefeated, it's pretty safe to say the non-AQ won't get in and the SEC champ will. As far as OU and Wisconsin, it's a tough one. Yeah Oklahoma will most likely start out ranked ahead of them but we've seen #1 teams get jumped without losing before. I think it would all depend on sos and style points.

Yeah that is interesting. What if the SEC is not good this year? Does a Vandy or Ole Miss still deserve to get in over Wisconsin, for what the conference has done in previous seasons?

No. It should be the top 2 teams. Conference affiliation should mean nothing.

This conversation just further proves what a joke this system is.

Then it would just be based off of preseason rankings at that point.

I disagree with you here, conference schedule and strength should definitely play a role considering the current BCS setup.

I agree. But saying a team should by default go because they are from the SEC or because theyre conference won the last title is stupid.

It should be the two best teams at the end of the year.

i always say the two teams with the best resumes. the problem with the voters is theyll fall into the trap of hype and tradition. super high powered offense putting up huge numbers? doesnt matter that you dont have a top two resume and your defense is porous.

i'll be a homer and say south carolina vs florida state. the pattern of the past five years probably says alabama vs oregon.

I agree with both points, but you know that would be the main question that ESPN would continue to pose
