I knida feel this way too. If the NCAA does what they should to OSU, Michigan should be back in control of that rivalry in the next 2-3 years.

I think you are very wrong about this. I think the Big10/12Ten is only behind the SEC. Wisconsin, Nebraska, osu, MSU are some really good teams. Then you have Michigan, Illinois, and Purdue in the middle of the pack. I'd put them against the top 7 teams from the Big12, Pac12, and ACC.

I had Nebraska winning it the day it was announced they'd be coming to the Big10/12Ten. With Wisconsin finally having a QB, I'm not so sure now. I am expecting an old school 3 year and a cloud of dust between those two teams.

I think Michigan and Illinois will surprise people. Illinois if Zook can get out of his own way. I think MSU falls down some.

Well Wisconsin did have a QB last year in Tolzien. He was great and ran that offense well. If it wasn't for him I don't know if they are in the Rose Bowl last year.

But I see what your saying, I also think Wilson will be better than Scott.

Hmm, I'm not as sure. Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, Texas, Texas Tech, Missouri, and Kansas State or Baylor match up well against those seven teams IMO. I think if you matched them up #1 through #7 and played it out the Big 12-2 would beat the Big 10+2 in probably five games.

Of course this is all conjecture and we will never know this answer so it's pointless anyway!

With that said here are my predictions:

          Legends:
          1) Nebraska
          2) Michigan State
          3) Michigan
          4) Northwestern
          5) Iowa
          6) Minnesota

          Leaders:
          1) Wisconsin
          2) Illinois
          3) Ohio State
          4) Penn State
          5) Purdue
          6) Indiana

Nebraska vs. Wisconsin for the best conference championship game in the 2011 college football season. I'll take Wisconsin by a nose.

Yeah, Tolzien was one of the better solid-yet-unspectacular quarterbacks Wisconsin has had. They just churn those guys out.

I'm not sure about that, they lost their best Offensive Player in LeShoure, and their 3 best defensive players in Wilson, Luiget, and Bussey.

Scheelhaase still has to prove he can complete more than 3 yard drag pattern

Their Secondary will be one of the best in the league though.

.500 Season is what I expect from them.(4-4 or 3-5 in the league)

I've seen a lot of people having this same stance on Nebraska, and I'm not sure I can agree. Martinez was not the same after he got injured and almost left the program after clashing with Pelini apparently, and their schedule gets much, much tougher this year - Let's not forget how much of a cakewalk the Big 12 north was last year (and for the past few years).

                  -----------------------------------------

To me, this all depends on the sanctions that Ohio State gets. I think I'd expect them to have 1 loss when Boom, Posey, Adams and the others come back, but if there are massive sanctions, I could see the team stumbling out of the blocks and getting worse as it goes.

To me, Nebraska has this thing on lock down. It's their conference to lose. I just don't trust Bielema at all with a good team. Michigan could be a grease fire or a great team. And who the hell knows what to expect from Penn State, Iowa, Mich State or NWern

I don't see why so many of you see Wisconsin as a lock in the Leaders division. They have a great team, but their passing game is a big question mark. Sure, they routed a few bad defenses last year, but they seemed to stumble outside of Madison. I have them as my favorite as of right now, but if OSU doesn't get hit with more suspensions before the season starts (right now I think they will), their overall talent level could get them through the season.

No way Illinois finishes ahead of OSU. They are going to have a decent season regardless of their problems. It's future seasons that will be a problem.

I think it could happen. Purdue is returning a lot of players, including multiple players who missed all of last year from knee injuries. Although Illinois is young too.

I like Illinois a lot this year. I think they can go 6-2 in conference. OSU probably the same. And as the Ill-OSU game is Champaign I give the advantage there to the Illini.

After reading everything from the posters on Stadium and Main and all of the articles at mgoblue, I'm totally convinced that Michigan is going to go on a five year run of not only Big Ten Championships, but NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS. Thread after thread and story after story about how Hoke has turned things around and their D coordinator is getting every 5 star recruit out of Ohio - I'm now a believer. Denard is going to run for 2500 and throw for 2500. They have new scoreboards, night games, all the momentum in the world. Anything short of 5 straight Big Ten Championships must be seen as a failure for Hoke.

Doesn't even matter who wins the other division, they have no chance.

Especially with Ohio State moving to the MAC....
