The Big East? Isn't Boise State in Idaho?

Last time I checked, Boise, Idaho is further west than Utah or Colorado. I'm still trying to figure out how Utah and Colorado are in the Pac-10, i mean the Pac-12. How can you have a landscape where a Big East school is located further west then two members of the Pacific conference? What's next, Washington State leaves the Pac12 for the ACC?
It makes sense after nine Coronas.
    NFL: Indianapolis Colts (12-6)
    NBA: Indiana Pacers (42-13)
    MLB: Cincinnati Reds (0-0)
    NHL: Detroit Red Wings (26-20-12)
NCAA: Purdue Boilermakers (FB: 1-11, BB: 15-12), Michigan Wolverines (FB: 7-6, BB: 19-7, H: 15-10-3)

It makes plenty sense, you must remember we have a invention called a "airplane". With this "airplane" teams can fly across the country in 3 hours to be play in a AQ conference.

If Boise is going football only it will work, good for them and the Big East.

          Figured this was worth noting.
It's not like the Texas schools are that close either. UT and Baylor aren't far. But it's not like Texas Tech, OU, Oklahoma State, KState, Kansas, Missouri, or Iowa State are local. Arkansas and LSU replace UT and Baylor. Dude must not be waiting for his SEC funding to come in so he can pay for his family to travel.

And Memphis news is reporting the MWC and C-USA "merger".

I'm guessing it is going to be the champion vs. champion idea for a possible BCS bid. C-USA is probably waiting for UCF to jump ship so their champion isn't playing two "title" games.

Yeah, and there might be a week in the regular season where the conferences play each other (i.e. MWC/C-USA Challenge). Personally, I don't know if the winner of a Colorado State/ Houston matchup would deserve a BCS bid.

EDIT: I wonder what it would mean if the Mountain West loses the Big East invitee teams... It might lead to an eventual merger.

If Boise and UCF leave, I don't see how they get the BCS bid. All the teams would be gone that would have any chance of making it BCS-viable: Utah, BYU, TCU, UCF, and Boise.

You can do that with any conference. Is the winner of Mississippi St/Vanderbilt worth a BCS bid. Or Washington St/Arizona?

Are those two teams first place in two different conferences?

Well, actually it would be TCU and Houston and an undefeated Houston would actually be a potential BCS bid if not for Boise.

Yeah, but Texas Christian isn't in the Mountain West for much longer and Boise State is flirting with the Big East. I took the top teams that would be there next year. Even if you take a look at every team, is there a team there besides Houston or East Carolina that looks even remotely appetizing?

San Diego State. SMU. Southern Miss looks pretty good this year.

So the next 2 teams for the Big East comes down to SMU, Temple and Houston. SMU is in for all sports. Villanova doesn't want Temple due to sharing a tv market and Houston would only come as a travel partner for SMU. So it's either SMU/Temple or most likely SMU/Houston.
