Re: A&M to the SEC starting to blow up again on Twitter
If Texas went Independent, the PAC would not invite Texas Tech. Texas Tech would only be invited because Texas wants them-they may not want them, but politics might require it. If Texas did choose to go Independent-The PAC's best bet is Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Kansas and Missouri. Oklahoma as a football power, Kansas as a basketball power, Missouri brings in 2 large TV markets, and Oklahoma State is really just there because Oklahoma probably wants to stay with them and the SEC won't take Oklahoma State.
I'm not really even sure why it's necessary to stop at 16. Big East Basketball is already at 17, I wouldn't mind if the PAC went to 18, and took Kansas and Missouri along with the Oklahoma schools, and Texas/Texas Tech.Comment

Re: A&M to the SEC starting to blow up again on Twitter
You are the last person who should be telling anyone I told you so. The next right prediction you make will be the first. That's fine, lots of people just guess wildly and are wrong-but I think most of them would realize not to gloat. You're batting .000 in this thread and you're pretty much striking out on every post. Being wrong about everything isn't a shot at you-most people have been wrong about most things in this thread. But seriously, don't tell anyone I told you so especially when you already refused to eat crow for your wrong predictions earlier when someone said I told you so to you. You need to get several dozen I told you so's aimed in your direction before you give them to anyone else. If for no other reason, you shouldn't be able to say I told you so because you're still chuckling at everyone for saying TAMU was a done deal. It was done...long long ago.Comment

Chip Brown Twitter:
Texas A&M will be hearing from legislators that Aggies' departure from the B12 no longer has their blessing, sources say.

Re: A&M to the SEC starting to blow up again on Twitter
In today's pregame show for ISU our AD was asked about ISU and conference realignment. He said that "he knows the answer" to what will happen for us but he "can't say right now".
This is really leading me to believe that KU, KSU, ISU, and Baylor have been in talks with the Big East and are ready to land (relatively) comfortably when the **** hits the fan.Last edited by UWfan206; 09-04-2011, 07:19 PM.Comment

Re: A&M to the SEC starting to blow up again on Twitter
I know you are an ISU fan and all but I just don't see why would the Big East bring Iowa St. along. They bring nothing to the table. I can see Kansas and K-State going but ISU I don't. You guys are likely headed to the Mountain West, WAC, MAC or C-USA if the Big XII were to break up. Sorry but I just can't picture any major BCS conference interested in taking ISU. And I know I am not the only one.
Who the **** said anything about ISU over Mizzou?
News flash buddy... conferences are moving to more than 12 teams now.
How difficult is that to understand. Too many completely uninformed wild-*** guesses about ISU to C-USA that are worth less than the time it takes to read them on this website. Everything thinks whatever they pull out of their *** is worth posting. They are ignoring the F-A-C-T that the Big East had invited four of the "leftover" Big 12 schools last summer and ISU was included (others being KU/KSU/Mizzou).Football: Denver Broncos

Re: A&M to the SEC starting to blow up again on Twitter
im not sure the big 12 scraps are enough to make a conference an aq conference
Kansas: BCS bowls 1, NCs 0, last conf champ 1968, total conf champs 8
Kansas St. BCS bowls 1, NCs 0, last conf champ 2003, total conf champs 5
Missouri: BCS bowls 0, NCs 0, last conf champ 1969, total conf champs 15
Iowa St: BCS bowls 0, NCs 0, last conf champ 1912, total conf champs 2
this is not the resume of an AQ conference if these are 4 of the top 5 teamsComment

Re: A&M to the SEC starting to blow up again on Twitter
And Chip Brown?
Remember how he said that there was no way Nebraska was going to the Big 10?
Remember how he said Texas to the Pac 10 was a "done deal"?
Remember how he said aTm wasn't going to leave for the SEC until at least after the first game of the season?Comment

The Big East has reached out to multiple Big 12 universities and offered a soft landing in case Big 12 folds.Comment
