Notes from Coach Chiz on the game and Clint...

Its a great opportunity for us this week. We have a tall order going to Baton Rouge, but we are going to embrace it. We will have to play our best game of the year to win. They are a great football team. There are no weaknesses.

On the QBs
We spent the last 48 hours evaluating and we are going to start Clint Moseley. We have been struggling on offense the last few weeks and Clint came in last week and provided a spark. We feel like this is the best decision.

Clint and I had a great talk a couple of weeks ago. I thought it was very productive. When he left my office, I felt like he was more comfortable. Over the last couple of weeks, he has improved.

On the O Line...
LSU's defense is fast and physical so the challenge starts with our offensive line.

On injuries..
Jared Cooper is out for the year. I don't know the status on Emory Blake. He's probably 50/50. We hoped it would be more. I'd say 50/50 on Trovon Reed. We'll know more tomorrow after we see what they will do today. I'm not overly optimistic about either. LaDarius Owens will be out for a good, long time. He won't play anytime soon. (Devaunte Sigler might get look at defensive end.)

Why don't you throw to Lutzenkirchen more?
He's not always open.

On playing at LSU..
It's a huge challenge, but there are a lot of schools that are like LSU in being a tough environment to go on the road and win. LSU is a tough place to play, no doubt, but so are several other places in the SEC.

While I agree that this won't be an easy first start for Clint, we will be far better off with him then we would be with trotter. Trotter hasn't been the same since we started using Fraser in the offense. At this point, I think the Auburn coaches will take their chances with Clint.

If we can get our offensive line back up to the speed we were operating at earlier this year, then I would not feel nervous about this game at all. But this is LSU, and there's always some kind of catch when it comes to LSU

Rumors are the up to 3 players have been suspended, but until Les' 6:00 presser, those will remain as just rumors.
