Re: College Football Off Topic
LOWER DIVISION FOOTBALL NEWS:
Gallaudet University is undefeated this year in DIII football. Gallaudet is where the huddle was invented. It is also a school for the deaf. They are going for their first NCAA playoff bid in their history.
They also have a player drawing attention from NFL scouts and will have their first pro day ever next year.

I actually learned about Gallaudet from one of my TAs my first quarter at UW because she went there (though she can hear). Hoping they make it.Originally posted by BlueNGoldI feel weird for liking a post about exposed penises.Comment

Saw that Saban's agent said CNS would consider going to Texas…in other words, Alabama, open your pocketbooks again."People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring." - Rogers HornsbyComment

The fact that ONE of those refs with a view of the play couldn't figure out the guy wasn't in the end zone is unbelievable.Comment

Re: College Football Off Topic
Sounds strange, but even though NCAA football is my favorite sport, I have one big problem with it: teams pull their starters when they are leading big. This annoys me. As a loyal fan, I always watch games to the end, and I try to watch all my team's games even if it's a mismatch. I want to see real football down to the final seconds, not watch the backup fullback run the ball every down and then watch the other teams offense get beat, and then the process repeats.
Would you rather watch an "exciting game" against a crap team when the game is already out of hand or give yourself a chance rest your starters and keep them healthy for when they're needed down the road? Not to mention getting the backups valuable experience for the future. The answer is seems simple enough to me...My 2K17 Boston Celtics MyLeague

No, just no. How long have you been a Alabama fan? I only ask because Mike Shula pretty much screwed away our 2004 season when he left Brodie Croyle in too long in a blow out over Western Carolina. I would hate to see the same thing happen to McCarron or any other starter when the game is essentially over.
Who cares about what's pleasing to the fans? Personally, I only care about what is best for the football team.

Either way, both are prime examples of why coaches pull the starters and are smart for doing so. Hell, I even pull my starters in NCAA the video game and I haven't even had an injury through 4-5 seasons. My 2K17 Boston Celtics MyLeague
