I rarely, if ever, blame coaches for losses before the players since they arent on the field....but that horrible game called by John Smith was just mind blowing. They werent playing for a bowl bid, they werent playing for any sort of title, they had the #7 team nation on the ropes, and he cant go for it on 4th and inches at the 1/2 yard line? He elects to punt with time winding down? Heck, its even a rivarly game for petes sakes, go all out.

I seriously hope he is no longer a coach at any division 1 level football program at the end of this. He isnt even worth keeping on to do a teams laundry.

I'm sure Washington deserved many of those, but it's absurd that like 7 PAC schools are outside the top 100 in terms of penalties committed. The conference needs to do something about the flag-happy refs. It's been bad for years, but it's totally out of control this year.

I forgot what it feels like when WVU wins a football game. Tavon Austin had to go into God-mode to make it happen, but it happened.

Shawne Alston's return from injury was HUGE.

Should finish 7-5 and maybe 8-5 if the bowl game is a victory. Meh. Could be worse, I guess.

Big miss by UW. Go Cougars! Mike Leach's season has been a huge dud.
