    Re: Week 5 Discussion

Iowa-Minnesota is on ABC, but the SC-UCF game isn't done. Announcer just said Iowa-Minnesota and the other regional ABC 2:30 game were currently airing on ESPN2 while this finishes. Well, it's blacked out.

I'd rather be on Big Ten Network than ABC if I can't watch the start of my game before another one finishes

Yeah that's true. They actually looked better with the backup in after Shaw got hurt.

                      Re: Week 5 Discussion

A game that no one likely cared about but NIU scored a huge 55-24 victory over Purdue today. Definitely takes some pressure off since a lot were saying we were flukey after a rough start to the season.

Nice to sit 4-0, and I think ESPN said that Purdue was the last team that actually had wins against Northern in their simulations, so 12-0 is a possibility, I don't see a BCS birth again though, I love the offense but our defense is lacking and after last years game (which honestly /we were in/ (scoreboard wise), until the fourth quarter and we imploded), would likely weigh in on voters minds.

It's nice to see us manhandle a team and Lynch not having to do everything too, which is a huge step forward from last year when it was essentially Lynch and everyone else. Cameron Stingily is making the transition to HB pretty decently.

Sucks how light the NIU schedule is, I don't really see another 'exciting' game until November, a lot of MAC middleweights and down, and the top and bottom in the MAC is pretty far apart 'on paper'.

Poor clock management cost the Jags another shot at a game-tying drive.

The coach used two time outs back-to-back on offense once South Alabama got down near the goal line.

They could have gotten the ball back from Tennessee even after turning it over on downs if the coach had just kept his time outs.

                                This clock management is awful.

Sims just ran back outside chip shot range. Unbelievable.
