Purdue has really played hard and honestly they played better than ND. We got some breaks and they just couldn't make some easy passes and it hurt them.

30-14 right now and that BYE week looks wonderful. This team needs to get healthy. Also bummed our running attack hasn't been there tonight. It's been a very underwhelming performance.

At least I can say that when we're up 30-14, it's just a letdown from the UM thrashing.

Hopefully Syracuse can get through Maryland to have two 3-0 teams play in NYC. I'm looking forward to that trip, always a good time win or lose.

That wasn't the question he asked though. He asked why the big schools don't have big name QBs.

I'm of the opinion it's because you don't build successful programs via great QBs, great QBs come from everywhere from Deleware to Michigan and are few and far between. Look at Driskel and Brissett #1 & #2 in their class, both went to Florida.

It's not about not getting good QBs to come to your school, all the good programs can do that, it's about how you build a successful program and that is not by putting your fate in the hands of the next big thing every 4 years.

Recruit a solid QB, teach him not to make mistakes, hope he can bail you out every now and then and dominate on the other areas of the field.

It's also that QBs being #1 means very little. Now they are ranking passing and running so rankings are getting better. Plus you have QBs running different offenses and not playing good defenses a lot. It's very hard to rank high school QBs.

Croom is the biggest weak baby I have ever seen. To be his size, he is so passive and really gets pushed around.
