If I'm remembering my history properly Edsall left because UCONN was unwilling to change their academic standards?

The problem with USF since Leavitt left has been recruiting. Firing Leavitt was program suicide and I hope USF sees another 10 years in the toilet for the way they handled the entire situation. Here's a solid local article that has some quotes from Leavitt about things that happened.

    Golf: Bubba
    MLB: Braves
    Nascar: Smoke
    NBA: Heat
    NCAA: Florida & Miss State
NFL: Whichever team currently has the most of my favorite college players
    NHL: Caps
Tennis: The Joker & Sloane Stevens
    WWE: Dean Ambrose
Misc: Anybody wearing a Team USA jersey

So why exactly are they suspending him for the full game again for?

FSU suspending him before the Clemson game is honestly one of the stupidest football related decisions I've ever seen. I still think it's dumb to punish him any more then making him apologize.

It's not a football related decision.

Worst of all, they are now back in a terrible conference with WVU and UL gone and UC and maybe UCF being the only teams of note, but they can't take advantage because they're worse than they've been in years. Now, they're reduced to battling it out on Friday night and sneaking by FCS schools to get their only non-conference win (so far).

Pasqualoni ran our program into the ground. His players are still raw, even those who have been here 3/4 years. He never developed his guys here. Our line is horrible, we have a good stable of RBs (not McCombs, but Delorenzo, Marriner, and two Freshman, Newsome and Ron Johnson), and our WR corps is deep. Davis is an NFL talent who has never had a QB.

Horrible game last night, but we have 11 true frosh on the 70 man travel squad. That's insane. We have a lot of young players playing and in three or four years when Diaco has his recruits playing, we will be back to being a perennial bowl team. As much as it sucks, I'm happy to be apart of his first season.

Lol at giving kudos for suspending a kid for saying words that are said on the field every single Saturday on the field..

Unless there's some other incident, getting suspended for yelling some curse words is petty. It is completely understandable but petty

College is a different animal but in a year or two if he did the same thing at a bar or what have you while employed by the NFL it would be a non-story. Since it's college, and you're trying to teach these guys, I could understand why there's a suspension

Granted, it might be some time before we ever seen two top 5 teams with national championship aspirations meet in an important conference game in November again (of course, when UL won, Rutgers decided to do UL in the next week - on a Thursday night, too, IIRC?).

Thank you for bringing up that painful memory. I have some fresh cuts, would you like to pour lemon juice in them?

Looking for Louisville to have a bounce back win at FIU today. I'm hoping to see Dyer today but I think I'll see Parker back on the field before Dyer.
I've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!

It's more then a few words. Even though he wasn't convicted you don't say what he said in a public setting going through what he did (The FSU student union isn't exactly a tame place but still). The timing of it with the NFL drama probably doesn't help Winston either

I agree, like I said in college you're operating under a different set of rules. It's still petty to me though, but when you're representing a school you have to play by the rules.

I'm interested in what exactly he lied about. There are a lot of murmurs Winston might not play another snap this year.

Pitt and Iowa are back and forth right now, that one-handed catch by the Iowa receiver was nasty.

BC tied with Maine, getting a bit nervous.
