    Re: Week 7 Discussion

First off, I hope the Florida player is alright.

Second off, we have the ball at the 36 and no timeouts with 24 seconds left. We need about 8 yards for a real chance.

Those moronic rule changes continue to rob us over and over again of the satisfying endings that made college football so great. So I applaud those CBS SN commentators for actually remembering what the rule is supposed to be.
      This is a terrible post.

            Quite the opposite actually.

Their job is to talk about the rules as they are. Not how they used to be.

I had a big response typed out for this, but then I decided it wasn't worth it. All I can ask is how much Miami football you have watched in the Al Golden era? If you have watched any significant amount and can tell me with a straight face Al Golden is a good football coach, then I will be at a loss of words and we can just end it there.

The fact that Al Golden has a career record that is right around 1-22 against teams that finish with 8 wins or more says enough about him. Or the fact that he gets outscored in the 2nd half of games at 3:1 ratio. Or the fact that him and his best friend's "great unique defense" have broken records at Miami for giving up so many yards.

I am not saying they are national title contenders because they are far from it. However, with Golden they aren't even division title contenders and they never will be with him as the head coach.

So you're saying the rule change to run the clock after a player goes out of bounds is more hardcore? Surely any rule change that shortens the length of the game is less hardcore.

Applaud them all you want. They weren't saying 'in the good ole days blah blah blah' They just sat there confused because they don't understand the rules. I made no statement of my opinion of the new or old rules, but the commentators should know them and for not knowing them, and then for going on and on and on and on about how they 'don't understand what's going on with the clock' they sound moronic.

                                Watson,

One of these images was enough, let alone three. Please don't post it again.

I'm not asking as a mod, I'm asking as someone who has suffered from multiple seizures and that is something that can trigger one.

It's not funny nor does it mean anything to anyone other than you or LSU fans, if you could not post that again I would really appreciate it.

Only two games. Won't pretend to be an expert on the Canes. I also won't side with your coach if that was your question.

My point was that you basically said they beat teams they should beat and couldn't beat good teams. You could say that about Montana State. Not really much of an upbringing statement.

Surely, they can talk about whatever they want. Does it make it a rule per the NCAA though?
