It's even worse than I thought. And I said we'd be lucky to win more than 3 games this year.

Western isn't necessarily a slouch, but this 2nd half performance is not very encouraging.

Much better second half. Cleaned up some of the mental errors.

Seth Collins is going to be good.....as long as he stays healthy.

The Defense looked really good.....granted the competition wasn't the best.

I may have been a little overly optimistic...but I still think we win at least 4.

          Re: Week 1 Discussion

I'm never much of an optimist, but I saw the 2-3 win team I expected. I fear for Collins health behind that offensive line. Weber State is a 2 win 1-AA team though, so I am telling myself that there's absolutely nothing positive to glean from it. The throwing accuracy was better than I thought it would be though if I were to try and find something to be optimistic about. The defense pitched a shutout, as it should, but even Michigan's bad offense will be an enormous step up for the defense compared to what they played against tonight.

The biggest frustration for me was the penalties and lack of execution inside the 25 yard line.

I see a lot of room for growth......

We got a game, even though Washington's offense hasn't done anything.

This is my favorite thing about college football season.

Blocked punt now, and to think I was like "Man I should turn this game off" at the end of the third then I was like "Well it's a BSU game, anything can happen late."

Big missed opportunity there after the blocked punt.

Boise hangs on, but holy **** Petersen coached circles around Harsin in the second half. Freshman QB mistakes are the only reason Washington's 0-1.

Hell of a disappointing finish but very proud of the way they played the second half. Defense stepped up big time. Browning definitely had a lot of freshman moments but I'm excited to see more of him.

Not mad at that game at all. Better than I expected with the freshman QB. Team is gonna be good, but that's probably a year or two off.
