    Re: Week 13 Discussion

    All this Michigan-OSU debate...

Makes me almost miss the SEC talk on these forums.

    .....almost.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

It's fitting that there is an ad showing Dr. Phil on my screen right now.

There are plenty of other Michigan fans here who will be gullible enough to think that Billy Bob Recruit X and Joe Bob Recruit Y will be the difference maker.

I won't be one of them.

Get all the butthurt out of your system now. It's unhealthy to bottle it up. Look at Harbaugh. His inability to control himself cost his team today.
No, 8 sacks with no holding penalties means the refs are not doing their jobs. Interpret it how you want to, and I'll interpret it my way.

Regardless, when you go on the road and mostly dominate the game as an underdog with the 3 TO's only serving to keep the home team in it, that's when it's frustrating to have the refs out there making plays.

Without the turnovers, it's more like a 31-14 Michigan win. With them, it should've been a 27-24 Michigan win. Oh well, the game ended 24-30.

Thank you for this entirely useless non-starter. What does Meyer's Florida teams have to do with the game today?

In any case, I don't remember Urban Meyer costing his team games at any of his previous stops by throwing his headset onto a field or screaming at and berating referees.

Teams take on the personality of their coach. Michigan's coach is unbalanced and overly emotional. Ohio State's isn't. That was the difference today. The Buckeyes were mentally ready to slug it out for 60 minutes and Michigan had too many brain farts for anyone to argue they were as well.

Is college football this bad where Alabama seems so unbeatable with a QB that can't consistently throw?

Jalen is awesome with his legs, but he's a disaster trying to throw.

The defense might make it where it doesn't matter, though. They are relentless.

I do think it's a tad ridiculous that in 2016 we don't have adequate camera angles to determine exactly where the spot was on that play (given that it wasn't into a pile and the ball wasn't covered up by body parts). But it is what it is.
I was basing it off the fact that Barrett never reached out with the ball. The ball was essentially where his torso was the entire time. Looking at Chris Wormley's positioning relative to the line to gain, it appeared that Wormley's hand was right at about the line to gain and Barrett never got that far, not even when he was in the air.

I don't think there's enough evidence to know 100% if the spot was good or not at this point because Barrett's body was blocking the ball from the near sideline the entire time, but I thought it was a bad spot based on the positioning of Barrett's body relative to other guys standing on and around the 15 yard line.

The initial spot was king. It did appear that the refs were initially considering spotting the ball short of the 15 and I'm not sure why they seemed to change their minds.

Luckily, your opponent's only competent quarterback is injured, and JFIII's passing ability makes Hurts look like Tom Brady.

Yeah Auburn won't do anything on offense. I'm talking more generally. The SEC sucked this year, and I don't think Bama is all that good.

Fair point. I'd like to think Alabama is not as unbeatable as people often make them out to be, but I guess we'll find out soon enough in the playoff. The defense did give up a lot of yards and points to Chad Kelly and Ole Miss, so against a good passing QB, there might be some vulnerabilities.

I thought the Iron Bowl might be a good game, then Sean White got injured.

This fan base is quite possibly the most overreacting in the country. They get into meltdown mode after close wins.

Congrats on the win to the UK folks, enjoy your bowl game.
I've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!
