Teams take on the personality of their coach. Michigan's coach is unbalanced and overly emotional. Ohio State's isn't. That was the difference today. The Buckeyes were mentally ready to slug it out for 60 minutes and Michigan had too many brain farts for anyone to argue they were as well.
Enjoy your win, but you cannot honestly feel this game was officiated fairly/competently. 2 penalties for 6 yards in a rivalry game is unheard of, especially when we literally saw 2-3 blatant PI's, co-signed by known OSU homer Kirk Herbstreit, go uncalled.

Gloat if you want, but please don't insult everyone's intelligence with the "Harbaugh is a maniac so his team was out of control" nonsense. This was a senior laden team that was incredibly well disciplined all season. Aside from Harbaugh losing his cool once (understandably because the refs declined to call a false start with Elflein moving the ball and opted for an offsides by Hurst). Any college coach would've melted down with this officiating abortion today. The zebras seem to get worse with each week.

Amazing what some uncalled holds and blocks in the back can do for a guy who's running for his life sideline to sideline...

Alabama looks like garbage on offense. If they can manage to stop turning it over, they can hold on, but I don't know if they'll score much more.

              Week 13 Discussion

I've been saying it forever. Conferences are stupid. Stop with them. And have big name teams play big name teams.

                Re: Week 13 Discussion

I tried to avoid commenting on Jabril Peppers lack of interceptions all year long because I figured it would be poetic justice for him to pick off JT Barrett. And it happened.

But this game pretty much confirmed my thoughts on him. He's an electrifying athlete when he gets the ball in his hands, and is able to play a vast number of positions well. He's the most versatile player in the nation. But I just don't think he's elite at any of them defensively. He's a liability in coverage, and really struggled down the stretch and it resulted for some of the biggest plays of the game for OSU as a direct result. Barrett's long run to set up the GW FG and then the touchdown in the first overtime are two that stand out.

Frankly, I think his talent has been wasted not getting the ball in space. I think he could've been a star offensively in a role similar to that of Curtis Samuel/Percy Harvin/Denard Robinson. Whenever he touches the ball, you just hold your breath.

Once again, I think he's a good player, and easily the most versatile player in the country. You can probably count on one hand how many players can be effective at DE/LB/S/RB/WR/QB. I just think he's not elite defensively, but offensively he could've been an absolute terror getting the ball in his hands, in space, and could've been that difference maker Michigan needed on that side of the ball.

Michigan's playoff hopes rely on both PSU and Wisky losing today and OSU jailsexing Wisky next weekend. Even then in need of some help out of the PAC12 to deal with UW and get in at 10-2. If PSU wins today, Michigan will be the 3rd most appealing B1G team behind OSU and the B1G champ.

Pretty crazy to think Urban Meyer might go 61-5 (40-3 in Big Ten play) with a National Championship in his first 5 years in Columbus, but only win 1 Big Ten Championship.

Last year we needed Penn State to win against Michigan State and of course they choked. This year we need Michigan State to beat Penn State to win and of course it's starting to get away from them. We always lose the one game we can't afford to lose when it comes to Big Ten play (or end up on a post-season ban).

Also, for the record, I wish we could get a rematch with Penn State. Still the most baffling loss of Urban Meyer's tenure.
