Just saw a nice animation I really liked. I hit my FB in the flats and as he turned upfield he got stood up by a defender. They locked up, you could actively see my player churning his feet before the defender finally just slid him out of bounds without a tackle. It was really cool to see a tackling animation that didn't neccesarily end in a tackle.

Cons..
1. The crowd looks awful.
2. The CPU AI (Although on varsity) is as bad as ever.
3. 2-3 Turnovers per demo game for the CPU, in every game I played.
4. Players all glitch as they move around (God, I hope this isn't in the real game.)
I'll be kind and stop there, because I have at least 6 more things that I can list, and they all come from a short little demo. It's a demo, it's varsity, so I won't judge the actual game until I play it - but yes, this demo is utter trash, and unfortunately, my net didn't crash before I was able to download it. Why am I still here? In this this particular thread? To read posts like Russells, who almost have me once again excited about the actual game - It won't be easy to overcome that dreaded demo game, though.. I'm still in rental mode.Comment

I think the demo is pure and utter trash. I said it a few times in this thread already, yet I'm still here. Now, if the actual game is anything like this demo, I'll pack up my things and head back to the Madden section until next year. Now, playing this demo has made me rethink my approach somewhat - I went from auto buy, to possible rental.

The difference is you posted intelligently as to why and gave input to "help the cause". No problem with that.Joshua:

Re: NCAA Football 09 Demo Available: Discuss Here
I've had at least 5 games without a turnover. Maybe more. The most INTs I have seen in one game is two and I have only seen one pick 6 in about 15 games played. I haven't seen too many fumbles either.
Maybe I am lucky."Hard work beats talent, when talent isn't working hard.”Comment

Re: NCAA Football 09 Demo Available: Discuss Here
I have played a few demo games now for PS3. I will state that it is already better than 08. I don't think it's the best football game I've ever played, however, to also say that it's complete and utter GARBAGE, is a little over the top. I totally understand that everyone has their opinions of the game, but a 'garbage' statement is overkill. *Heavyhitter* I also agree with the community when they say it would be nice to see some reasoning behind your opinion.
1. IMO, i really don't care how good the crowd looks. It is minor to me. But I know it's important to alot of others in this community, so I'm glad that EA makes somewhat of an effort to make it look decent.
2. What I care about is gameplay, presentation, and atmosphere. I want to experience NCAA as if I was actually at the game. I would love to see all actual team entrances. i.e Clemson touching Howards rock and running down the hill. To see all the styles of facemasks and helmets.
But I think the point of putting out a new game every year is to improve from the previous year. I think EA is making a step in the right direction, and I feel confident that we will all be happy and get what we want in NCAA Football in the next few years.
Oh, one more thing. I don't think we can compare Next-gen with current gen. It's like comparing apples to oranges. The two systems are totally different.
Thanks.
Sorry for the long post.Comment

Re: NCAA Football 09 Demo Available: Discuss Here
i have fumble quite a few time, but its because i have been trying out the new jukes and stuff seeing what i can and can't do. so far haven't see any WTH type fumbles like i saw in '08 at times. the same with the INTs.Comment

Re: NCAA Football 09 Demo Available: Discuss Here
Another nice touch I noticed: I called a screen on 3rd and 7, Beanie broke two tackles and barely got it, and the players on the OSU sideline were all cheering, some clapping and others jumping up and down fist pumping.Comment

Re: NCAA Football 09 Demo Available: Discuss Here
I love that! I saw this too early this morning when I played before work. Some of the sideline players were pumping their fists and squatting down flexing as if to say "Boo-yeah!"."Hard work beats talent, when talent isn't working hard.”Comment

Re: NCAA Football 09 Demo Available: Discuss Here
Anyone else notice throwing an out that sometimes the receiver will drag his feet and fall when he's like 2 yards from being out of bounds?? When it happens when your close to the sideline cool but when you have that much distance between you I can see a problem. I could see it already...you down and out and make a throw trying to get in the endzone he catches it and falls down even though you could have turn up field for those extra 5 yards to get in the endzone.Provided by yours truly

It seems like whenever I use it to slide L or R a DT can bull rush for a quick sack. I stopped using it after having it blow up on me 3 or 4 times in a row.EA: Please add in-game saves.Comment
