Weird glitch at the end of the game: 4th quarter. I'm trailing OU 21-20. I complete a pass and advance to the 10-yard line with two seconds left and call a timeout so I can set up for a field goal.
Before I can call the play, Oklahoma calls three timeouts in a row.
I've heard about icing the kicker, but this is like nuclear winter. What gives?
I got that one, too. And Nessler said "The Sooners call a timeout. The Sooners call a timeout. The Sooners call a timeout."
... I love demo'sComment

Re: NCAA Football 10 Demo Now Available, Post Your Impressions Here
I'm very interested in hearing why the PS3 graphics in the demo are noticably worse compared to NCAA 09. I even downloaded the 09 demo to compare with the final game from last year to see if the demo from last year had poor graphics compared to the final game. The graphics from the 09 demo appear to be identical with the 09 final release. Yes, I am playing on an HD TV with an HDMI connection.
It appears that for some reason, the PS3 has taken a major graphical hit in terms of player models, jersey textures and especially helmet appearance quality with regard to lighting / reflections. The OU helmet looks like a throwback from the PS2.
There are some gameplay improvements, but with the very bad graphics, I will not pay $60 for a few gameplay tweaks and a chance to build a high school team online.
EA needs to clarify why the graphical quality is so poor. If these are the graphics that will be part of the final release, they should be embarrassed.Comment

Re: NCAA Football 10 Demo Now Available, Post Your Impressions Here
My first impression of the demo is that it was decent for a demo, that's it. I just can't get any real good read on the game as a whole with 2 min qtrs. I really liked 09's demo and ended up very frustrated with the actual game though.
If the sliders actually work, and I mean really work where there is a huge difference betwen a 0 and 99 slider, I think I would buy the game. Unlike in previous years I'm not going to buy the game on day 1 to find out.Last edited by nxt; 06-19-2009, 11:25 AM.Comment

Re: Official NCAA Football 10 Demo Impressions
Played again as Florida and tried to cheese by scrambling around and stuff, and you could definitely still do it, but I wasn't that successful with it (I never really play that way so that's probably why I suck at it, but if the demo is any indication, it will still happen online a lot).
I'm worried about the goal line stuff. OU had it on my 1 yard line, and ran 3 times and I stuffed it each time. Their HB was running full steam ahead on an outside run and was instantly stopped at the goal line by 1 UF defender. There was no momentum. Same thing happened with a run up the gut, and then they did the QB sneak, and Bradford just dove immediately for a loss. He dove automatically, which would be cool, but he never even had a chance of gaining yards. It looked like to make the sneak less effective, they maybe made it useless.
I also wasn't able to run around with Tebow...I do this sometimes with fast QBs while playing vs. CPU (not really an online player) and I wasn't able to at all..if you trying roam around too much you will def get pressure on you.PSN & Xbox Gamertag - TheCrenshaw

It was annoying though, but i still nailed an easy fg to win.Comment

looks like the ps3 version the qb's are still throwing knuckle balls(no spin on the ball at all). Am i the only one that is bothered by this?Comment

Re: NCAA Football 10 Demo Now Available, Post Your Impressions Here
Ok my biggest issues are
1:Just doesn't feel exciting at all. Maybe that's just me. No life what so ever IMO.
2: I feel as though I'm guiding my players rather than controlling them. Very sluggish and animation oriented.
3: lots of times the "get hit and throw badly" timing is off. The throw goes way off course and then the hit happens. Looks dumb when it happens.
Worse one I've seen was on a screen pass. Defender a good 2 yards away when I released the ball to the back in left flat. Ball goes straight ahead right into a D players arms......then the hit on the QB.
Not really to impressed overall...Joshua:

Re: NCAA Football 10 Demo Now Available, Post Your Impressions Here
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE....Can I make a request that if you are going to post your impressions that you post what system your on, hdtv, and what skill setting your playing on!
I think more so then player skill this is why there is such a big difference in opinion on same topics.
It would also make it easier to navigate all these posts if I can skip past the ones where I see different system.Comment

Oh geez.....don't say that. I hated Madden 09. I thought it moved way too fast. Does NCAA move that fast?Comment

Re: NCAA Football 10 Demo Now Available, Post Your Impressions Here
The right stick feels really sluggish and unresponsive on offense and defense. The jukes and spins seem so slow and clumsy. I'm missing NCAA 09's breakaway animation engine.
I'm having little luck breaking/slipping tackles and I can't get any RAC yards.
I felt the same way after playing the NCAA 09 demo, though, so maybe the final build will be more responsive and players will be more slippery.Last edited by Strummer101er; 06-19-2009, 11:44 AM.Comment
