The poor CB coverage may be from the new agility vs. acceleration vs. speed attribute thing. Perhaps there is some tweaking to be done in that area as I've heard complaints about players being sort of backwards as to how they are actually as far as speed and acceleration goes.Originally posted by TDTGodfatherbut it's a video game, so it's not destroying my world or anything... -

I thought sprinting (with the trigger) was being eliminated in Madden and NCAA. Same goes for controlling everything in the upper body with the right stick. I guess that's just Madden, right?
Sounds like the majority digs the auto sprinting. I haven't given it a try yet, but I am truly eager for this game. It feels like it could be MLB the Show potential on being on on-par sports game. After more than eight years on here, I finally figured out how to edit my time zone!Comment

Still the CPU/AI is in a rush once again to snap the ball, although I have on occasion seen the CPU/AI fake hike the ball. Whats the point in all these pre-snap audibles on defense If you don't have time to use them. Even in a no huddle Offense the QB doesn't just get under center and snap the ball as quickly as he does here, he will scan the field at least and bark out some orders. Please give the CPU/AI a chew clock to help him with clock management.
That there is a difference between a 2 minute offense and a no hurdle offense. Two minute offense is trying to get down field as quickly as possible thus saving time.
The no-huddle offense is usually employed as part of a hurry-up offense, but it is not necessarily an attempt to snap the ball (begin the play) quicker. Rather, the lack of huddle allows the offense to threaten to snap the ball quickly, denying the defending team time to substitute players and communicate effectively between coaches and players.
Anyone who has watched college ball will see that Mizz no huddle but then turn to the sideline to receive orders, then bark out some calls at the line then snap. I was kind of hoping to see a animation of QB's turning to the sidelines to do this.
In closing give us the option to make the CPU/AI chewclock.

First NCAA Football title I'll be bringing home since '07.
As far as 360 vs PS3; I own both systems and I admit to being a PS3 Fanboy. Having said that, the 360 version is superior to my eyes and hands. The game looks sharper and more colorful. It even "felt" different. On both consoles, Locomotion is a great visual upgrade, but with the sticks in hand - PS3 feels floaty while 360 feels like controlling a football player. Demo issue? Probably not. I see the same thing in Madden 10.
Great job, Tiburon. Now share your Progressive Lighting with Madden 11 and I'll be thrilled.

Try to get your player to jog by easing back on the left stick... You can't. Therefore, I suggest leaving auto sprint off so you can at least have 2 different speeds.

Not sure what I think, yet. Some good things-players move with a little weight, graphics are sharper, crowd noise is good, team entrances are out of the park.
Now the bad-the lighting. I thought I had a layer of cepia over the screen until halftime. Right before my eyes before the 3rd qtr started, it vanished and left colors more vibrant. The crowd is a bunch of 2d circles. I busted an 84 yard run on the ist play from scrimmage with Texas in their own house, the stadium got louder, but the rendered crowd never moved. Come on EA, its 2010. The players don't move as smooth as the do in FIFA or NHL. LBs still jump 10 ft in the air to grab ints. Players still cutting on dimes without having to plant a foot to change direction. Had waaay to much time to throw.
In summary, presentation excellent. gameplay-not so much.Comment

NDIRish - yes, I had that happen but it wasn't a lineman, it was a TE who pushed my RB in for a score. Just like when USC cheated and did it to you guys back in the day..Streaming PC & PS5 games, join me most nights after 6:00pm ET on TwitchTV https://www.twitch.tv/shaunh20

I am more excited about getting this when it comes out July 13 than I was when I got Backbreaker (okay but not as fun as NCAA 11). Why can't Madden be as authentic in presentation and playability for the NFL as NCAA 11 is for college football? Anyway, I love this game. Will probably be playing this more than any other game that I have. Good job EA!NFL - Pittsburgh Steelers
CFB - Miami Hurricanes
MLB - NY Yankees
NBA - Los Angeles Lakers
CBB - NC Tarheels
Bundesliga - FC Bayern Munich
MLS - Seattle SoundersComment

I got off of the DL, and controlled my FS this time..so I can see what's going on around me a bit better.
Aggressive jump snap is a necessity once again this year, otherwise, you are going to be covering a really long time..and getting no base DL penetration.
I do like the feel of my player...he feels like he has some weight to him: good thing...I didnt feel like I had bionic ankles.
Hopefully this means that the 40" vert rocket catch INT, is closer to being a thing of the past.
Hopefully users will have to read and react properly rather then being able to cover multiple areas with one guys.Comment

Re: NCAA Football 11 Demo Available Now, Post Your Impressions Here
One thing I noticed, I had one second left in the half and one timeout left. For some reason it wouldnt let me call timeout either by hitting the select button or going to the pause menu.
I guess I'm in the minority because it does feel like an improvement but I'm not overwhelmed or overly impressed. Not trying to hate, I feel like we're still at 80% of last gen. No doubt that this is better than 10 (at least the demo is).
I'll be waiting to buy this though. Every year at OS, the hype off the demo is just like this, everyone is pumped. Then Day 1, everyone is pumped and saying how great it is, talking about highlights, uploading videos. About a week in, people start to see the shine come off and then the huge glitches are talked about and the shortcomings and the game leaves most of us disappointed.
Its a good demo for sure, but until I see a good bit of solid feedback on the retail version, I'm tempering my enthusiasm.Check out my Tampa Bay Buccaneers CFM Thread.
You too can be a 5* recruit at FSU.......
